well ill start off by picking the best midfielderr/s because it seems in this modern game if u have good middy's nobody notices your other deficiency's.

the problem with hurn is that some people recon that he is a man playin against boys and that there is not much room for imprtovement

for me i recon murphy if he is available or ellis if he nominates because he is a bottom aged pick. he will be doin year 12 next year a bit like walker in his first year

if we have picks 1 and 3 we should get the best player available and get a midfielder with pick 3. hopefully we can get ellis and murphy with the picks

Yep he's a bit heavy, so there's an area for improvement.

He's an awesome footballer though. Great disposal by hand and foot, strong mark (he's got plenty of height), can play in many positions and best of all, he's a genuine leader.


I think he's the player we've been crying out for...

Drum has all the hallmarks of Massie,Vance and even Livingston so I wouldn't waste the pick on him.We need onballers desperately with next years draft having a lot of talls available. So I'd go for Hurn who has been playing solid footy with OP and Ellis.
Hurn has a Cricket contract with the Redbacks, so it will be interesting how he handles being drafted by Victorian clubs.

Assuming Murphy is unavailable I'd go Hurn. Although he might be considerably larger then most he is a born leader. Instead of being selfish and trying to do it all on his own he does the team thing. A player with a brain will beat a player with half a brain anyday. Reportedly he has been play with OP and he is still doing well for Centrals in the SANFL. He still will have a large scope for improvement and you'd be stupid to think not so. He is a big bodied player who can play anywhere, I think that in itself is a huge advantage.
