Why Am I Not Upset??

I love the pies as much as anyone, but for some strange reason, I am not too upset about tonight.

I think once I heard Davis was out, which compounded our existing injuries, i sort of resigned myself to a big loss. I dont even feel embarassed..weird...

I still feel we are a good chance against Carlton...every team that the Saints have beaten have gone on to win the following game

Did anyone hear anything about a possible injury to Swanny?

AFL.com.au are reporting knee injuries for Swan and Fraser.

Don't know what exactly though, dying to know.

Last thing we need are more injuries to key players.

Look, I was strangely excited and optimistic by the end of the first quarter. I thought that we were somewhat competitive, even though we wasted many chances. But this loss should not be disappointing at all since it was an unfair contest overall since our forward line was disasterous. Cloke was kept quiet and Rocca was as shoddy as an old car (and half as accurate). If we had all the players who were out tonight, it could have been a nice contest since we were fairly competitive. It's just we could't kick the goals to support that.

But yeah, let's just move on ot next weeks game. Hopefully our team will regain it's strength and we can get back in form.

I'm not that upset because we had our 3 best players out (IMO) so as you said, I felt a big loss coming.

Quite a few different reports on Swan, some say a 4 week injury, others say he's fine so we'll just have to wait till tomorrow probably.

4 week injury to Swanny..that will defenitely get me upset

I wouldn't go by that though, a mate of mine just said that Footy Classified (I think) said maybe a 4 week injury, but what would they know.

it came when he was taken high after handballing and then stopped from getting to the next contest, yes i know there is a rule for that but alas he gets taken out and injured from it and although a free kick to him, wrong decision that could be even more costly
