In any corporate environment a key employee will sign a confedentiality agreement and Non disclosure the prohibts employees from sharing trade secrets. Its completely common and i do it in my own business.
Its clear from an AFL article that everything was shared with Essendon.
In the case where an employee wants to break a contract that is even more applicable
Recently PayPal is suing Google since one of its key people gave up a lot of information.
I am not crying over spilt milk but as a business, which AFL clubs are, this makes perfect sense
