Honesty it's not Sheedy's fault. Just look at the facts.

Of the Bombers 12 losses this season 7 have been under 22 points.

Surely Lloyd with an average of just under 4 goals per game has made the difference.

Ouch

Yeah losing that many games out of 12 by under 22 points sucks..
The games where it has been 1point...2points...7points...11points,
those ones get to you more because you know they are so in reach of getting the 4points.

Ahh well,
$hit happens..

maybe in 07 they will pull thier heads in and win more games

In the year Schwab was sacked, Hawthorn lost 3 games by 1 point, and another 5 or so by under 3 goals. You're only as good as the team you put on the park, and Essendon are close to full strength. Essendon fans have been brainwashed, but fortunately for the rest of the competition, we will get to see them suffer for another 5 or so years.

lol, why would a hawthorn supporter post on this board?

When did we ask for a hawthorn supporters opinion on a ESSENDON board?

Doesnt make sense.

Just getting some back.

It's amazing how many Essendon supporters aren't calling for Sheedy's head.

Thats were your wrong we have around 10 injuries atm.

AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH oh man, thanks for the laugh. Before you say something like that you should look at the facts, if LLoyd didnt get injured this year then we will still be gunning for a top 8 finish. Losing 12 in a row has hurt the confidence of Essendon players and supporters thus resulting to skill errors eg Mark Mcviegh today.

Essendon injuries;
Jason Laycock (knee) 6-8 weeks
Dean Rioli (knee) 7 weeks
Jason Winderlich (fractured fibula) 7 weeks
Lachlan McKinnon (shoulder reconstruction) season
Aaron Henneman (shoulder reconstruction) season
Matthew Lloyd (hamstring) season

Now, apart from Lloyd, the rest would struggle to get a run in the 22. You're not struggling with injuries. Face facts, Lloyd is injured, much like Crawford was in 2004, and Essendon are unlikely to finish above 16th on the ladder.

YOU'RE TEAM IS SHIZEN. INJURIES ARE NO EXCUSE.

Second best Ruckman for Essendon and has shown that he is a better ruckman than Hille but Hille is an overall better player.

Jason Winderlich (fractured fibula) 7 weeks
was showing great form, and the fact that he is young also adding that hes fast.
Matthew Lloyd (hamstring) season
Not really sure if you know this but, hes the captain and the foward that can help Lucas get freed, have 2 defender sag of him while a crumer get his. This are fact that will help the team foward line structure have a chance for goal.

Other players failed to mention
-jonhs
-Ryder-Will be one of the best ruckman in his prime.
-
Andrew lovett- Great speed that will help the dons.
-Cole- Young and once was one of the Collingwood football club best players.
-Slaterry-Young and fast, at best one of the 22

yes this year its unlikely, with crush confident and lack of mental chemistry its likely will land the spoon for the first time in centuries. but with the young players developomg and with the first round draft pick(assuming we fet it) we will be dangerous in the not to distant future.
stanton (hasnt played 50 games yet),
Watson(hasnt played 25 games yet),
Monfries(hasnt played 25 games yet)

Theres more but they will be the players that looks likely to be the most dangerous.

Yes why would u sack Kevin Sheedy he is the best afl coach for some time now! Can someone please open their eyes up and sack gary ayres as he is no good.

As i am trying to say is its time to go Gary Ayres

if you wanna replace sheeds who would you have as coach and why?

you are joking right ? Hawks fans might be used to and expecting a 5 year drought without making the finals but it wont be happening down @ Windy Hill.

Look for a massive improvement in 2007 :thumbsu:

lock it in Eddie um er yeah Channel 9

er Gary O'Donnell obviously. thus the reason he was signed up for the start of the 2005 season.

Maybe you should look at your own coach a bit there hey ?

He actually coached quite a few finals at Geelong and Adelaide, built Adelaide's list to what it is today and had a +50% winning record, something a lot of coaches can't say they have.

You blame Ayres 'track record' for being bad this year when he has been here 6 months? please!

1) I don't want Sheeds replaced for some time yet
2) If I had to choose, Gary O'Donnell. He's served under both Sheeds and Leigh Matthews and also knows the capabilties of our current list.

lets not forget he has a very close friendship with alot of people down @ Windy Hill after being a past Bomber Great also ...

Sympathies Essendon folk... I know how hard it is to see a mighty team fall.

I suspect Essendon are tanking the rest of the season for that #1 pick... I will not be surprised to see if you boys are in a commanding position to win a game then all of a sudden you lose (like last night).

The only thing I feel bad about is that I wanted Carlton to earn not winning the spoon... so it could be farcical in our next meeting where we may have two teams trying to lose the game.

Good luck and soon our teams will be up again and our rivalry will be as fierce as ever!

Many supporters are sick of Sheedy. Heard last night during an interview with Rohan Connolly that he had every intention of coaching beyond Essendon. The guy is very self oriented and getting worse.

Anyway, Longmire looks a likely proposition with credentials - has played under Pagan (who was the king of young player development and coached EFC reserves in 1992 and set up the Baby Bombers in 1993 ), played in a North premiership and has been assistant to Rodney Eade and Paul Roos. Unfortunately we have to put up with Sheedy for another 32 games and only one more National Draft. Who knows, a dismal second half might see Sheedy walk ?
