Luke Blackwell is next in line for the chop- just doesnt cut it. Aisake and Jackson have probably one more season each to prove and cement themselves. Then its probably one of Hartlett, Wiggins and Edwards to go. ATM, I'd say Hartlett (Has Edwards has come on enough as a second forward though? And Wiggins probably will survive- the man is Lazarus along with Jordan Bannister. I never would have imagined the two of them lasting into 2009 (or 2008 for that matter). God knows if either are getting a game in 2010 we still have some work to do.He is playing for his AFL career, and producing good footy. Not sensational, but good.
Good hands, sure disposal, average kick on goal, but has been dobbing them this year at crucial times.......and his handpass to Stevo in the goal sq (which Stevo snapped for a behind) was first class.
Puts his body on the line, and at worst, is a good role model interms of hardness for the younger brigade.
Will survive the end of year cull on present form.
Puts a lot of pressure on some others though:
We need at least 4 spots.
2 are taken by Ackland and Saddo.
The other 2?
Most would have had Wiggo in there, but not now. Bannister has probably dodged a bullet too.
Its harsh in his second year, but Benjamin needs to puts some runs on the board for the Ants in the second half of their season or could be in trouble IMO.
