Nintendo has sold out of wii, and has stopped sending stock to shops until they get more in. The wait will be for a couple months and there won't be any before christmas. If you want a wii and see one, I suggest getting it because there's a very very very high chance you'll miss out.

Don't ask for a source, because I don't have one. I have been told this around 6 times today.

Yeah same, went to JB Hifi, Dick Smith, Target, EB games, Toys R' Us and Harvey Norman and they are all out, and they won't get any in to Christmas.

And some people actually reckon the PS3 is outselling the Wii and will eventually sell way more consoles.

Stupid Sony fanboys.
I think you might be thinking of the 360 fanboys.

According to everyone I talk to the PS3 is selling the worst of every console, and the 360 is just behind the Wii.

I just got back from Chadstone where I got the Wii for $348 in K-Mart went halves with the girlfriend :D. Only have 3 left in K-Mart apparently, JB, Toys 'R' Us and EB have all sold out and JB said they weren't taking pre-orders.

Damn, I just rang JB and they can't rain check it. I'm going to Chaddy tonight so I hope that K-Mart doesn't run out. Do Myer have them?
Damn, i think i'm going to miss out, i won't get mine for like another 5 years, stupid Nintendo Australia.:thumbsd:

My store still had four when i left today at 2, its target in epping for those in victoria

If you want a Wii, go to K-Mart. I picked mine up from Chadstone last night, and if you know Chadstone you will know how busy it is during Christmas. I asked the guy if they had any Wii's left and he said he did. He then went out the back and ripped out a box with 3 Wii's in it. The other guy at the counter then said to him, don't sell the Wii's on the red cage out the back, they are for next weeks catalogue. Knowing Coles Group, they usually have their specials starting on Mondays, so K-Mart should have stock for a while. I also used my Coles discount card and I picked it up for like $320.

catalouge starts thursday, and trust me if the mangers tehre are anything like ours they'll sell all but two of the wiis before then

I still think that you'll miss out because there's no stock. But if you laybyed it then i'm sure that you'll get it?

That's what I said. laybyed it. We rang up yesterday, and they still have it for us. So I still get to play it Christmas morning.

But it'll be a toss up between that and Adam Gilchrist "Best of the best"

Nintendo shoot themselves in the foot yet again with these outrageous shortages, but you can't blame them after the not so popular GCN, it's a risk selling large amounts of Nintendo hardware in Australia, the GCN and N64 didn't do too well here and I don't know if the Wii is doing well here.

Mums and Dads will do to the shops, look for a Wii, once they find out that they are sold out everywhere and not to disappoint their kids, they will buy an Xbox 360 due to price similarities instead.
