Starts here in the U.S in 2 weeks, but they've been showing ads previewing the show for over 2 months. So it's got pretty high expectations over here.

that would be ads for the american version on FX right? with elijah wood. I'm a bit apprehensive as to whether it will live up to its Australian forerunner. Still has the original wilfred in it though which is good.

I think ch10 has the rights here, so I'm guessing the show will be very tame.

Been looking at clips on youtube of the Aussie version. Didn't realise until today there was a separate one for the U.S. Gonna find the Aus version and watch that, the U.S one is bound to be watered down and pretty shit in comparison.

great show. first time i saw it was about 2 months ago and i was scratching my head trying to work out what was going on for the first five minutes. then was pissing myself laughing for the last 20 or whatever was left.

very well done.

hopefully it stays on he air. what was the story with it being off the airways for 3 years?? lack of funding??

According to the tv guide, the one 11 is showing is the US series.

Yep, direct from the US.

Hopefully SBS or ELEVEN replay the Aussie version though because I only ever got to see a few episodes and didn't get a chance to get into it.

Anyone watched the first episode yet?

Downloaded it last night and it was a lot better than I thought it would. Went in thinking the yanks will **** up another good comedy but liked it as much as our version(helps with the same Wilfred of course). Frodo was good in his role too which surprised me.

Almost fell off my chair reading Graeme Blundell's review in the Weekend Australian.

Reckon that might be his first critical review of a local show (even if it is pretty much just one paragraph).

Apart from The Office (and Im sure someone will pull me up on another), the US usually screw up their remakes, even though I haven't seen the Aus version, found this to be still pretty rich with decent Aus-like comedy while not being too full blown either way.

But that first time he saw it up against the curtain and waved his hand/paw around in a subdued sort of way was brilliant.

Can't wait til it comes out on DVD.
