I know it's still early but i have some doubts on Bradley making it at AFL level.
One thing that really concerns me is his lack of ability to keep his feet in a contest.
Not prepared to write him off yet and he may come good but there is quite a large question mark hanging over his head imo.

What's your opinion.

Is going backwards under the current coach- I said weeks ago he is running around the park with no idea where to go. Might do better somewhere else and maybe worth a late second round pick in the draft. Starting to look like another dud pick by our illustrious selectors.

Agree with the above.
Last year I thought he was developing into a great CHB. Now I wonder if he has a future beyond this year. It seems he no longer has a suitable position on the ground. Those extra 10 kgs over summer have done nothing for him, and his defensive skills have not improved at all. Overall a huge dissapointment this year.

I would definately take a 1st Round pick for him, maybe a high 2nd round pick in the superdraft but nothing less.
Down the track he may play a ruck/midfield role like Goodes. In fact he looks more co-ordinated in the ruck, quick reflexes & second efforts are very good, whereas in defence he looks out of place. Almost Zac Dawson like.

Could be a point there, might be carrying too much up top, just sems to be unconvincing when going in for a contested mark.

I think you should be grooming him for the FB position when Fletcher retires. He looks a similar type of player and is a good spoiler.

Ash Hansen for Bradley?

Nah, we're trading Willo for Hansen.

Sheedy will go for Aker - although he says it at every press conference, he doesnt want to rebuild - too stubborn

No thanks.

We will get a good KPP in the draft. Give us an onballer

Bradley for Selwood/Nicoski

Id take an early draft pick for him at this stage, for sure.

Needs to find a position and gain some cinfidence back. The Kepler we are seeing now is no where near the finished product.

Andrew Lee and/or KPP in the draft would be important as it could free Kepler to play HBF/wing on a permanent basis where I believe he would thrive

I just think his rate of development is much slower than some of our other debutants. The kids in this years draft seem to have much more vigour in them to make it at top level. For 3 seasons on our list n being a top 10 draft pick... Im just not convinced with Bradley

Bradley is still young. He has potential, but hes not showing that this year. But every player in the competion has had a time in their carrer where they cant get the peak of their talent. Also why is he going backward to our current coach?? Our coach has played Bradley at back were he hope that he'll became a good CHB in the future, Sheedy hasnt really hurt the kids develop since moving him up foward and you or we dont know how hes developing Bradley outside the camera let Sheedy do his job to young players like he did when Hird was young. He was drafted when he was the age of18, 3 years ago, hes still have plenty to go before he reach his prime.

If he was on our list circa 1999-2001, how many games would he have played?

I'm suggesting that perhaps he is being fast-tracked and playing more senior footy than he is perhaps ready for because we are a struggling/developing side.

If we were at near the top of the ladder he'd be afforded the time to develop in the VFL for 40+ games before being asked to play a significant role in senior footy.

He's got a lot to learn, no doubt. I actually think it's hurting his development playing so much senior footy, unfortunately we don't have much of a choice.

He's still maturing physically, he showed enough signs last year in particular that he has the tools to be a good AFL footballer. Let's give him a couple of years before we mark him one way or the other.

Few KP tall players make a huge impact at Kep's age.

He's being outmuscled in contests from, displays no aggression or desperation...seems lost when searching for options.
Just doesnt use his height n reach to his advantage when he manages to float in the corridor. With all that width between the shoulders he's obviously gained in the off season...he's just not a competitor right now

Important to remember there is a difference between size and strength. He's a kid, he may be a big kid but he hasn't done enough preseasons nor developed enough phyiscaly to be able to play the position he is being asked to play without being outmuscled by more seasoned opponents.

As for aggression and desperation, I would have said and I'm sure most would agree that they are his most redeeming features. The bloke always has a crack, an absolute competitor.

So, his 'redeeming' qualities helped him earn this thread?

What has this thread got to do with it?

It's a forum for people to discuss opinions. That's all I've done, if you disagree then argue your point. Don't point to the thread as a basis for your opinion.

I seem to remember a lot of threads writing off Jobe Watson, NLM (I might have started that one), Courtney Johns, Jason Johnson, Mark Johnson, Mark McVeigh among others in the last year or so.
