Only a tiny bit!!
Even though our sleeveless footy tops are just one of the things that make AFL unique, ive always wondered why AFL jumpers never evolved to a 'normal' type sleeve like rugby tops and such.
The hawks toyed with one for 5 minutes in 95 or 96 pre season i think. But cos of their poxy pee & poo colour combination it looked shizenhousen and was shelved.
It would be a bit of a break in tradition but i think merchandise wise it could grow into a monster.
Alot of people get to an age where they feel a bit funny wearing a sleeveless jumper to games, and most AFL long sleeve jumpers look pretty dam crappy. A top something like this ( but obviously with our normal stripes )
IMO would be worn by a wider age demographic to games and could be a big money spinner.
Would also cover up any shoulder strapping on players like Juddy's. ( although Dane Swan might not like covering up his crayolla arms).

I think they all look great, except for the grey on some of the polos.
They, like every Club, change things up each year to sell more & make more money. I have no issue with this.
At the end of the day though, I dont care whether its a white collar, black sleeve, something is smaller as long as its RW&B when we win the premiership!!!
