a teammate of my local club played for Springvale 2's at full back and had a record 25 'kick-ins' - LOL

Rusling looks a 'real' player....played at full forward. Presents well, good hands, very quick as was drafted as a wingman i thought ?
A bit sloppy after slotting 2 goals early...should've kicked 7.2 not 6.3...least he can take a contested mark ?

Yaka goes well, a neat player......but Heath Shaw, yes, he is ready for CFC action, good solid build, sweet kick, and appears to have time to find a player !

Lonie looked disinterested...but, is a 'senior' player and shouldn't be languishing at Willy when no.19 has basically contributed 'sfa'

Guy Richards played which was a huge bonus....needs a few games to find rythym...Shared with Fanning....I like Fanning.

Lokan was Lokan...did good n bad !

King looks a far more accomplished player than he did last year....covers the ground better

jabso gave some notes at Hotrod's which isn't opening for me.

Said Billy played in defence and was good, but was playing on a mediocre player, so can't read too much into it. Judgin by dogga's comment re the kick ins, the ball was probably down the other end for most of the day!

I'll put my report up here as soon as EBnW is back up.
As far as Billy goes he should be playing in the Willy seniors anyway since they are short up back and it will give him a chance to prove himself against higher quality forwards.

It all feels much better now we've had some encouraging performances.

There's been a release on the pressure valve with seniors getting injured and absolutely no signs of talent in the VFL. Worst possible scenario.

Now it seems like we've got three first kids who are really ready to play and even having a guy like Dane showing something, there can be pressure from below, as well as guys like Fraser, Richards, Bucks, Daks etc. from injury, to perhaps revive our season.

Having Rusling and Yakka step up, and Travis who is in my opinion strong physically and mentally, means that there's not so much expectation on someone like Egan, who can take a bit of time to learn at Willi. With the other guys looking the goods, instead of Egan having to be our definite first round gun, he can be the icing on the cake, which I think his type would be best suited to.

Still, we gotta beat the Bummers tomorrow, or we might as well throw in the towel! In adddition, we gotta drop the weakest players and there's been no sign that Malthouse even knows who these guys are!
