Pls list some reasons why I would change from my full functioning, stable windows 7 to windows 10.

I'm not upgrading straight away either. I was more saying that out of all the pros and cons of upgrading (especially all the dodgy privacy shit), I wouldn't be putting solitaire as "Exhibit A", when there are tons of free alternatives a simple google search away anyway.

Installed Windows 10 with a clean install last week, disabled those dodgy express settings that are causing a ruckus and its been fantastic so far.

Same here. I think I unticked every box of those settings

And Microsoft Edge is surprisingly great as a browser! Only downside atm being that it refuses to remember my passwords, but I think there's an issue with the Norton Identity Bank I've set up as well.

Here's a few reasons why you wouldn't.

I really want to like Windows 10 but at this stage I'm extremely wary.
Then you're wary of Windows 7 and 8 too?

I love how people are wary, yet the first thing they do is install uTorrent, Chrome, Adobe Flash and other dodgy software. Even your Sandy Bridge CPU has an accessible remote killswitch.

Will keep using Chrome until Edge can support extensions. Loving the reading mode though

CEIP is a known quantity though (hardware and application metrics) and is simple to switch off. Windows 10 is much more invasive and nebulous.
When I install Windows 10 the sound quality is terrible. Looks like I'm stuck with Windows 8.1.

Look at the website for your sound card manufacturer (or mobo manufacturer if using onboard sound) and see whether they've released an updated driver for W10.
