It's awesome!!!!!! I've had it for 3 weeks now I love the graphics. You have to get the plus pack.... it has the most awesome aquarium screen saver. But that could be a little expencive. I like it! No networking problems either. and the fact you didn't need to format to instal it is a major plus as well.

I was thinking about getting it at work but was a bit iffy on it, however, since you guys are giving it such a big wrap i might have to get the company to buy it :D

Did anyone else go to the launch?

Lots of glitz & glamour, not a great deal of substance - but I guess it was a MS launch!:p

Rove was actually pretty good as MC, but I'm still trying to understand the point of having Bardot, and a Morrissey Fashion show (even moreso!) at a software launch!

It wasn't really mentioned during the launch, but can someone explain the unlock code bizzo?

Does this mean we have to contact MS everytime we might reformat?:rolleyes:

What about my right to piracy damnit!:D

Why would you bother buying an original? Get it pirated!! And if you feel guilty about doing that, just consider the BILLIONS of $$$ microsoft made by screwing other companies out of their ideas and thus making a monopoly!!

I don't know if i should be encouraging piracy, Bluey might not allow it, if that is the case I apologise.
 
XP does look pretty good but I think I'll wait a few years b4 purchasing it. Also Im a bit suspicious of the fact that you have to tell MS all your details when registering.
They're watching us right now you know.

To right CJH. Last month on Optus, they had a movie on called "Pirates of Silicon Valley", adapted from some book, the name escapes me. An interesting story of how Steve Jobs and his mate started Apple and how Bill Gates started MS. It was very interesting, even more as it showed that Bill Gates bought every good idea and turned it into his own. Both apple and MS "stole" the GUI of Xerox who for some reason thought the mouse was a stupid idea. Then Bill ends up buying bits of other companies and then gets apple as well. It was very interesting viewing.

ah yep.. thats Sachs Marine Aquarium...
the best ever fish screensaver... most realistic..
i can just sit there and watch for hours.. hahaha..
even got the sound effects of bubbling water !

u can download it online..
and i've got the serial/crack to unlock the deluxe version
will post in a sec once i find it

yeah,i got it,so far so good......no blue screens:D
on mine is heaps quicker than 98 and ME were,hardly even hear a peep out of my hard drive now
only problem ive had is for some reason when i go to install nhl 2002 it wont get past 2% into the setup before it stops and says its exiting.....anyone here maybe know what to do?:confused:

Vis: winXP is the latest OS (Operating System) from Microsoft!

daddy_4_eyes: Yes I do intend on buying it! I have no objections of getting a copy of most programs, but geting a copy of an OS can cause more problems and end up being bloody expensive!

Coxon... I have a question. Do you know how to make the screensaver stay on when someone signs into messenger. Whenever something happens on the screen the screensave turns off.

well, check in Display Properties...
Screen Saver

and change the setitngs of the screensaver..
there is an option to check, where it says 'Exit on Mouse Move'

so, once i got the fish screensaver on... moving mouse, or keyboard press.. it wont exit the screensaver..

i donno about MSN...
but i just tested with my ICQ..
if i got aquarium on... even if i get messages, it wont make me exit the screensaver...

located at Geelong and called SMW ... that's not a reference to the Rovers in the Mininera, is it?
 
Regsitration is mandatory. The other lovely little "feature" is that it records the configuration of your hardware (ie harddisk size, memory, sound card etc). If you change too much it decides it's on a "new" computer and requires re-registration.

:rolleyes: great product.

I'll stick with '98/NT for now.
