Has anyone heard anything of Wirrpunda and a possible trade- i know that there was alot suggested earlier in the year but his form picked up- wouldn't mind him at Melbourne.

How bout -

Scott Thompson to Adelaide
Tyson Stenglein to West Coast
David Wirrupunda and 3rd round pick to Melbourne
 
so were givin up, wirra and a third rounder for stengline....no thank you.

Why would we give up a 3rd rounder plus Stenglein for Thompson when we rejected your offer of Wirrpunda for Stenglein and we can get Thompson for less that Stinger??????:confused:
 
you wouldn't. but as Mr Q said, the eagles have already used their 3rd round pick for f/s so you would then assume it had to be the crows 3rd pick refered to in the above trade.

It wouldn't go ahead. Stenglien and a 3rd pick is too much for Adelaide to give up for Thompson

But i wouldnt want to trade our best rebounding defender so we can strengthin our midfeild.

cant woosha just tell his players to be more accountble, or do some sort different game plan training over the summer like port did?

value wise I think this about right, provided WC find a 3rd round pick from somewhere to make weight in this deal.

why isn't it required. we have already knocked back wirra, if it is to be him it needs more.

after all, did you not drop Wirra because he was playing like **** earlier in the year?

don't let what you believe get in the way of a good argument.

it doesn't matter to me, you're the ones who have and have been recruiting Mr 18 possession for years now.
Say what you want, you guys want him and will pay for him.

eagles have categorically denied most of our good players and there are lots who cant be traded due to signing this year. So adelaide just take pick 12.

Do you actually know if Wirra was offered? i think you might find it wasn't him that the eagles did put on the table, despite the media speculation.

yes Wirra was dropped.

he then returned and put together the best half of a season in his 8 year career to date.
 
the original guess is way off base, its more like

wirra > melbourne
thompson + 2nd round pick > adel
stenglein > WC

young fringe players like thompson who have only played half a good season are not more valuable than permanent top 10 players like wirra and stenglein who have years at the top level under their belt.

wtf are you on about paying attention? Maybe Jarman has been making up ******** again over there to make it seem like he has something interesting to say, but over here in the West no one from WC has mentioned anything about Wirra being traded.

Load of rubbish.

Thommo was not a fringe player as you say as he was our engine room of the midfield until he broke a bone in his foot against Essendon midway through the season.

Why would Melbourne want Wirrpunda when we have Whelan who sh1ts all over Wirrpunda.

Wirrpunda would be a great clubman but I have seen him constantly get exposed in defence and outmarked by most opponents.
