How are you guys dealing with the loss a week on? Normally only takes me a day or 2 to get over a bitter loss (like the one against Freo) but this one has left me feeling flat all week. I was really looking forward to a weekend in Sydney with the yellow and black army invading all the pubs and bars and wreaking havoc. Now its just another weekend and I'm done with footy for the year without the Tiges. I know it sounds bitter but all I care about now is for Norf to get dumped out of the finals asap. Life would have been so much better with Richmond still in it.

Same thing happened in 2013. We came up against a team we were expected to beat, had a chance to beat a wounded Sydney team playing at a ground they don't like, and royally ****ed up a chance at a preliminary final.

From the moment I saw the weather forecast for last Sunday and with the predictions of 90K+ crowd it started to feel like a carbon copy of 2013.

Well when you think about it our 2013 and 2015's are quite similar - 15-7, 5th position, slow start to the season, big scalps, capitulating in the second half of the final after getting out to a healthy lead mainly because of Jarrad Waite. There is just something about our club that I cannot put my finger on. When we got out to a big lead on Sunday I knew we would get overrun, we cannot handle finals pressure.

Took me a couple of days to get over it. The only thing I'm worried about now is our list management for next season. This may sound stupid but if we were still in it we'd just be prolonging the inevitable. We couldn't of won it with the side we had and I'm sure a heartbreaking loss or a shellacking was just around the corner. It would've been good to have a win but the closer you get to winning it the more it would hurt.

I continued drinking, watched and angry film (Mad Max) and was over it by the next day.
After thirty years I can pretty easily switch to 'it's just football' mode.

I'm okay with it. To be honest, I never expected us to win, given that we have been North's bitches for half a decade. Even when we were up in the 2nd it didn't feel convincing to me.

The last two years hurt a lot more - Port hurt because I expected to win (we typically play well against Port) but we didn't even show up, and Carlton hurt because even though they were another of our bogey teams (and I wasn't confident at all going into the game), I thought we had it won at half time.

Just feels like the season is over full stop. Didnt even watch last nights game and not overly excited about tonights.

Its just a loss of important experience. I would have loved us to play Hawthorn in the finals just to see how they are a different proposition in a finals game.

To be at least playing this weekend was the least of my expectations.

Cancelled everything relating to footy. Foxtel, my sub to the HS and the Age etc. My only footy source now is my mates and this board. I refuse to listen to SEN till after the seasons over and trade week is starting.

Its my only way to cope with the disappointment that we let a golden opportunity slip this year due to our own stupidity. I have finally forgiven Hardwick enough that I wont refer to him any more as Idiotwick but I admit, I still wake up 3 times a night screaming into the cold air "YOU ARE NOT SHEEDY HARDWICK SO DONT TRY TO BE HIM BY MAKING ODD CHANGES YOU CAMPAIGNER!!!!". Hopefully those night terrors pass soon too.

Get some nice running shoes.
Get out there.
That's what I'm doing in the off season.
Exercise and fit to take on the World again next year.
We should have a bf tigers training camp.
Do a preseason together.:D
Getting everyone at the same place would be a pita though.
Train for the Tigers 2016.:)

P.S. If it wasn't Norf,we'd still be in the finals now.
Norf exist to beat Richmond.

Did not watch The Footy Show to see Brayshaw's glum face.

The media are all rubbing one out now that we lost except for a select few.
The World would rather see Hawthorn win ten in a row if it means Richmond don't win one.
It's a strange ole World.

Im more worried about lennon. Why hasnt he resigned? Why is dimma so ******ed as to pick a 3rd tall instead of a guy whos in really good form for a final?

Id be majorly pissed if I was lennon. Hopefully he doesnt make his way to carlscum through the yarran trade or something.

it really is between the ears. I'm no expert in these sort of things but I have been reading a book called "The power of your subconscious mind" and some of the concepts in there really seem to ring true about the way you control your fate through subconscious positive or negative thinking and collectively as a group of players it's even more powerful. I think they really need to get the right people in to eliminate the negative mentality we so often see on the big occasions when it really counts.

I thought we would have made it through to the Prelim and got done there I wouid have been satisfied with that.

Same here but it's just taken a bit longer this time for some reason. I must have been a bit more emotionally invested.

They're just such a nothing team to me maybe that's why I'm so frustrated. At least I have comfort in the thought they have missed wasted their premiership window and will be wallowing away in the bottom half of the ladder for the forseeable future
