Anyone else get that feeling?

A) We are playing GWS
B) He is named as an emergency and has travelled up to Sydney
C) He hosted the Black and White show this week
D) He is from Sydney

They usually tie in their mid week media with the footballing stories they want to get out of the weekend, I predict we unveil our own giant this weekend.

I could only see him coming in for Dawes. Unless brown or Reid go out and Tarrant goes back which would be the worst idea in the world. Cloke will play no matter what. If we left him out all we would be asked all week is did we do it to send a message. ****ing media.

Already another thread on this idea. I think it is very plausible. But who would come out for him? Another tall? We know at this point he is very one dimensional. He isn't particularly well versed to playing back OR forward. If he was coming in it would have to be for Wood. He is a very unlikely candidate for the sub, as i don't think i have ever seen a ruckman used in this role. Actually the more i think about it, with Jolly out this week i think it is unlikely.

Question: For those who watch the VFL and also GWS on some occasions, how would Witts stack up against their ruckmen?

I reckon he could come in to give goldy a rest maybe? Sit him in the goal square and second ruck? Dawes to play mid forward and Cloke to return to his searching leads. Tarrant to the backline. We do have to contend with folau, Parton and Cameron, 3 talls who we wouldn't want to be embarrassed by.

More likely for Dawes though I think. He needs a rest - ruckin isn't the best thing for ur body especially if u are undersiZed.

Can't see a place in the team for him. Don't know whose role he would pick up unless he rucked solo. Big ask for someone who has played under 15 games of football at any reasonable level. What's this bloke fitness like? Would he even be able to run out the game. Perhaps the sub to come on for Wood in the last quarter?

Witts coming in this week is a remote chance but should that be the case i actually think he would go ok, only because Giles is out of form and with Brogan an emergency the task would become easier.

Having said that i think young Wittsy would learn a lot about actual workrate requirements for the AFL as opposed to the VFL.

I adore Witts, he has a super desire to get to the Seniors; I just think we need to hold him off until next season. (Super happy if the powers that be at C'Wood prove me wrong :p

Could have gone to Sydney with the team because he is from Sydney and to spend a few days with his family. I hope he actually is in the 22 tomorrow.

If they intend to play him then surely they would have simply named him in the squad?

What's the point of playing ducks and drakes with a debutant? If he goes in for Wood / Dawes / Cloke / whoever then he's hardly going to give Sheedy any matchup headaches.

If he does play then then it'll be due to a last minute medical change (a-la Yaggs)

They did the same thing with Yagmoor against GC went up as an emergency with the idea to see his family while there and ended up playing.

Just got to the ground and the first thing I saw was wittsy taking some shots on goal. Interesting, nothing confirmed yet but wouldn't be surprised If a change was made!!

Just saw Witts get off the team bus at the ground with his kitbag on Fox Footy. Why would he have his gear if he wasn't playing?

Just in Case of Someone Breaking Down in the Warm-Up
