IF we make a Grand Final and lose then I can't see him leaving. IF we win the Premiership this season then I can see him leaving.

I would keep him for another 10 years, but he needs to at-least hang around until Kerr, Cox, Glass, A Selwood and Embley retire.

Do you honestly think that football club executives – already wealthy, successful men – are persuaded by what some jackass writes in whatever low-rent tabloid covers their city?

Australian media can barely wipe its own arse. So who exactly is meant to be cowed by the towering influence of whatever warm shit dribbles out of these hacks' mouths any given week?

Some muppets on here might allow their little snow globes to get turned upside-down by whatever appears on the back page. But most people accomplished enough to run football clubs aren't quite as impressionable. Sometimes they get those appointments wrong, but I don't accept for one second that they're media-driven.

When I hear people on here talk about 'the media', I'm reminded of our ancestors who hid in their caves because they were afraid of the sun.

"Oooh, the medjah - big medjah - ooh. They wot dunnit!"

It's a convenient placeholder to fill a hole in people's understanding.

Sorry, I missed the part where I said anything of the kind.

It's a shame you've gone to such lengths to draft such a wonderfully crafted response to a comment that was never made. I do appreciate your effort though. You must have re-read your own work a number of times to have edited it half an hour later.

Excellent article. In my job I'm at the point now with experience that I use gut feel to make critical decisions. The problem is that others without your experience don't understand the decision making process you've gone through and it's actually hard to explain, so you get criticized for it even though it was a correct decision.

Given Woosha's has never been great at articulating in post match conferences it's clear now why he cops flack from those not really in the know.

Such lengths? As a literate adult, I don't find it that hard. But I guess it makes me a unicorn in these parts.
