Surely this has been bought up a million times but i have some questions of my own.

Does anyone on here know of anyone who has earned money doing one of these work from home scams? If so, can they recommend the one they are in?

If they ask for money upfront, it's probably a scam.

You can also check with ASIC to see if the business is registered.

It probably is possible to make money from home, but I don't know anyone who does it. One way to save money by working at home is to grow your own food. I'm thinking of growing my own potatoes.

It's usually a scam to get your bank account details. Often an elaborate set up that involves a phishing website (Website that looks exactly the same as the real company's site, but will have slightly different spelling in order to register the domain), and people who answer the phne posing as people from this company.

ie

These scam artists might pretend to be BHP Billiton and copy their exact website but have the domain name registered as BHP Billeton - most people won't twig that it is spelt wrong. Then they will have someone who answers the 1800 number advertised with something like "Good morning, this is BHP Billiton, how may I help you etc".

a down on his luck southpaw once exclaimed "you can always tell a creep" same applies to the dodgy business scams out there.
