Has anyone ever worked with someone who drove them insane? Bad habits, disruptive or rude?

Have a few in my office who I would quite happily fire if i had the power, including a argumentative audit manager who is think she knows everything.

Here's the OP for the unaware out there.

I know a guy at work his name is Larry or as he likes to be called 'L.MAN' he's literally 6.8ft tall, a lanky giant with a balled head and a stupid goatie.

He sits at his desk karate chopping any pencil that needs to be sharpened even if they aren't his, always asking people to hold the pencil for him while he raises his hand yelling "WAX ON" then he chops saying "WAX OFF" seriously the guy is about 35yo.

But thats not even the worst, whenever someone says something like "I'm off to the toilet" or even the 'weather is nice today' he will scream "TAXI!" it doesn't even make sense.

L.MAN also has a stupid obsession with scrunching up paper and I mean if he needs to chuck out a 10 page print he will tightly scrunch up every sheet and take them to the end of the hallway where he will bowl them into the bin 5m away screaming "Donald! Clean Bowl" "Polick, clean Bowl" yes he's a South African fan and he's bloody Australian.

He insists that everyone knows how fast he is at touch typing making immature comments like "Geez Rich, your not that quick at typing." Even asking people for a iphone SMS type off, what a flipping dick!

He asked every girl in the office every ****ing day "Do you think my goatee needs a trim" While he ponders it like a stupid wizard.

I could honestly go on and on, the guys is easily the biggest dick I know.

NO-ONE can beat the "L.MAN" :thumbsdown:

I have some women in my office who are dreadful... but they're so bad that i want to keep them around because i get so many laughs from them. They're administrators and wont do any work. I've tried to get them to do things that obviously fall in the scope of their PDs and they always push back. Things like creating and maintaining distribution lists etc. Asking them to do something inevitably instigates a carry on for days where they call meetings with everyone..... Basically spend more time getting out of doing things than it would take to do what was asked of them in the first place. One time i was quite annoyed when they wouldn't do something and as i walked passed their area they called me into their pod and ask if i wanted to join in their game of JENGA. Their audacity was so outrageous i thought it was hilarious.

Anyway i don't want to fire these women because they're hilarious and my friends and i get a load of mileage out of their antics.

I also work with a narcissistic control freak whom i wouldn't mind making redundant. He adds no value at all. He's one of those guys who appears to talk the talk but when you scratch the surface there is nothing of any substance. I wish he'd go and play with lego in one of the meeting rooms because he's a risk to anything he touches and a blocker. E.g. if you have memento with anything he has some authority on he'll insist on having a meeting in order for you to "educate him" on what you're doing. Then he'll either put a blanket over what you're doing, change the scope entirely or take you on a weird tangent so that you're left confused and unsure of next steps. Anyone that has a bit of experience working with this guy knows that you need to keep him at a safe distance. He's the most ineffective person i've ever worked with and he has a black hole personality. So i wouldn't mind him being sacked :)

I thought every J&P had "other duties as required" - sounds like they need to!
 
Everyone I work with is bearable at the moment. We had one bloke that worked there for about 10 months who talked almost constantly in cockney slang to the point that you really didnt know what the **** he was talking about. He tended to mistake peoples awkward laughter as genuine laughter which probably made things worse
 
My only issue with a few of my colleagues is that they are overly two-faced. Will act fine to your face, but behind your back talk shit about you.
If you don't like me, I couldn't give one crap. But, don't be a two-faced cow as well.

I purposely went back to uni because I couldn't stand office politics, people with too much time on their hands gossiping about every bloody thing! I also hated messy work kitchens, especially if something exploded in the microwave.

I'm studying to be a field botanist now; just me, nature and my iPod.

The ones who think its okay to take an hour coffee break at 9am, an hour lunch and then another 20 minute coffee break at three.

I"m gonna go one step better and suggest those that abuse their 'ciggie breaks'. I once worked in retail, I was the 'computer dude' and would cop flak if I ducked out the back for a quick toilet break. With the toilets being near the warehouse entrance, I'd always see the same usual crew puffing away whilst the rest of us picked up their slack.
 
Fat 55 year old bitches who know their sad lives will be over in 10 years and insist on dragging everyone down with them.


My office is women dominated and I sit behind the lady you described. It is infuriating!

Some of the ladies watch "toddlers and tiaras" and other ridiculous tv shows/movies during work hours.
