I see Chris Bryant has left Carlton. He looks a likely sort. Big body, great kick, possible back-up ruckman. Could be chance in the PSD !!!!

no thanks, i would like to think we have gone past recruiting duds who have been rejected already, espiacially if he was delisted by a team like Carlton, he can't be very good at all

Carlton didn't delist him (i.e. not a reject). Bryant has left them as an uncontracted player and nominated for the PSD. Got to be a better prospect than Kingsley or Podsliady

No he wouldn't because there is no such player as Bryant  Its Chris Bryan and I would much rather Pods or Perry AND Kent

Gee thanks for the lesson but obviously you know who I mean. Hope you never make a mistake. Lets forget the semantics and discuss. Perry would definately be an option - more height needed down back. But BRYAN looked good the couple of times I saw him against the tigers

Against us because we always seem to underestimate players who are 'unknowns'...remember Aaron Edwards' debut and Mark LeCras in Round 22?

Maybe, but you can only judge a player on wot you see and perhaps his record. Bryan 16 games/9 goals in 2 years , Perry 8 games/0 goals in 4 years.

I don't think we need to recruit a mature age ruckman at this stage Rayzor. We have Simmonds and Knobel as 1 and 2. Pattison is option 3, and Angus Graham sitting on the rookie list. If we were going to add to ruck stocks I would imagine we should do it with another rookie.
As for Bryan, he's acknowledged himself that he hasn't worked nearly hard enough to make the best of his carrer thus far. He's a bit small for a genuine tap ruckman, not overly mobile but does have a thumping left foot.

I would've thought Perry would be the obvious choice for us in the PSD. Its been well acknowledged that our key defence stocks are low, we definitely could do with some insurance back there.

Ok, you can laugh NOW as at 10:06 am 28/11/06

Sorry, missed it.

Duckboy - Perry's record is a worry - 4 years on a senior list for just 8 games and he's just 3 years younger than Bryan. Anyway, it'll be interesting to see who they settle on.

3 years is plenty of time in AFL . It'll be Perry of Kent and I would rather us take a youngster but our list almost forces us to take Perry
