Its all history now and i can again look at buddy without getting angry...

But would you rather still have Buddy..... Or mcevoy, O'Rourke and Frawley???

Id still probably say rather have buddy... but i might change my mind by this time next year

Not sure it made us a better team, I felt we were better in 2013 than 2014, Buddy is as they say a once in a generation player I wish he was still a hawk but being such an amazing club we moved in seamlessly when he left.

Between what goals we don't miss out on scoring due to Buddy wasting shots and what goals against we prevent with the addition of Frawley we will be a better team. McEvoy and O'Rourke are just the cherry on top.

Fool me once, shame on you.
Fool me twice, shame on me.

When it was obvious rough and bud were so good, we were always going to lose one to the salary cap. Either that or have an unbalanced list like sydney

It did more than help us recruit some handy player's.

It allowed us to give pay rises to some of the boys that were getting paid unders. Breust, Gunston, Rioli and Birch.

We are better off without him and the GF showed it.

The other thing buddy moving to the swans did, was give the swans a false sense of security with all the abandonwagoners they have taken aboard because of him. A great deal of their current supporters will go meh, what's Billy Slater up to? when they start finishing 7th, and the swans will have pre spent all the income they thought they were getting.

Buddy was great for us when we had deficiencies throughout the side and a relatively inexperienced coach.

He was also great for the club when he departed as it forced change of coaching tactics, player development, recruiting and drive.

Disagree, we were a better team last year than 2013 but we were unable to play our best footy as often due to injuries. I truly think we only played our best over 4 qtrs on 3 or 4 times. Freo, Saints, Richmond and Sydney in the GF. That best was better than our best in 2013 as a team performance. I prefer us now to when we had Buddy, except that I loved watching him perform the impossible on a regular basis.

I would rather premierships.

Would you rather have farts that smell like fresh bread or B.O. that smells like bacon? (I am not sure I am doing this thread right.)

Yep, I only want premierships.

It's fantastic to watch great footy and great players doing their stuff, but at the end of the day (year?), I just want to win a Premiership.
