Just because he spent his junior football career playing as a forward, does that not mean he can't be trained to play as a defender. Most talented kpp footballers can play in either the forward line or the back line. Stephen Silvagni started his career as a forward and so did Glen Archer. I know they are freak players but a player who is touted to go top ten must have a fair bit of talent and if he is to slip through to later in the draft we would have to be ridiculously stupid to pass up an opportunity with him.OZBomb said:Terrible news for that kid.
Doesn't really suit Carlton in that he's a Leading Full Forward type in the Fevola mode... and well, we have one of those. I read a few places that he's a Centre Half Forward, but I can't say I was as impressed with him in that position, as opposed to closer to goal.
I was all for getting him if we traded Fevola, but I don't really see the point now. Insurance maybe.

well if its only a 6 week - 3 months then id say pick him with pick 36 but it all depends on how bad the injury is if he can recover from it and continue with football then yes i would pick himblues4flag said:Well, the injury is 6 weeks to 3 months according to afl.com.au
