As an unashamed supporter of another sport I gotta say what a great night last night was.
The atmosphere was sensational and Collingwood's blistering opening attack on the Cats seemed to just intensify that. Sitting around people who I never even knew talking about how the game was unfolding, who was playing well, Geelong's insistence on hand balling and why it was taking so long for play to restart after a goal.
On the downside, I'd imagine a lot of those people wont be there next week. I've never been to an Aussie Rules Grand Final, so I have no idea if you get that same feel as I felt last night.
The train ride home mirrored what was happening at the ground. Lots of smiling faces and singing.
Great night, super win and now hopefully Collingwood can get up in the big one.
