W'sup with McBean

Played in at least 1 VFL praccy game...

Seems to be a bit down/flat. They've probably been doing a lot of work on improving his game (better contested marking?) and I'd hope/imagine he's spent a goodly amount of time in the gym. Either way, I'd hazard a guess that he's still adjusting.

Not sure, he has played in two practise matches against Sandringham and Collingwood respectively. But for some reason him, miles and banfield didn't play against North Ballarat.

got slaughtered against the Dees and i think it may have knocked his confidence a bit.
Still looking a little thin, and i would be surprised if we see him this year; as that would mean Jack, Vick, Griff, Hampson, Azza and Elton have all gotten injured.
Happy for him to spend another year in the VFL, kick 40+ goals, get some more size and then see what he's looking like in 2015.

Way off I reckon.
Probably trying to find his balls after playing ruck the last game. :p

Nah, just kidding. Reckon they rested him after that though. He looked completely rooted in that game.

McBean's body just isn't ready yet and he is no Dustin Fletcher from seeing his NAB match!

He may make it, could be a gun, hope he develops, but he needs to fill out more in his body getting more balance and physical robustness to be ready absorb AFL level pressures IMO.

Physically just to early for him IMO. If struggling this time next year then start worrying IMO!

Nah the guy is 19 years old 202cm and only 93kg !!! will need to put on atleast 12 kgs in a year which as a professional athlete running most of the time will be difficult to achieve.
I think the club should just let him mature, no pressure to have to make seniors, play him if his form is through the roof in the reserves only. The club should be looking at McBean long term, JR isn't going to be around forever, Ty Vickery isn't the answer and just once I'd like to see Richmond have 2 decent forwards running around at the same time instead of having one retire as the other starts to take off.

Agree to a degree but look a year 2 Omeara's guns!!

McBean will get better as he gets stronger before adding 12kg, eg. on the way in the journey. Just too light all over atm. No pressure to make seniors but needs to develop physically. Gym more important for McBean this year IMO. Needs to ensure he develops strong balance on the field as much as adding kg!

Tom Lynch of GCS is a good example to follow!
