Some very good match ups.

Ive said in the tv thread that theyll probably stuff the booking of it though.

But def potential to be one of the better ppv's this year.

The problem is by pushing people most people couldn't care less about and just putting the good wrestlers in the midcard in meaningless matches there is nothing to get emotionally involved in.

If WWE was booked properly, Roman or Brock would be the villainous heel with Braun or Joe the babyface you want to see take the belt. Instead all 4 are booked terribly and no real heat or carefactor over who wins

Smackdown is even worse, Owens and Styles might put on a good match but why should I care who wins?

Anyway given Brock has been appearing at house shows they are likely using up his dates so I see Brock losing the belt, disappearing until the Rumble, winning as a surprise entrant before losing to Roman at Mania and actually retiring or ending this run.

I would say at Summerslam Roman is a 70% chance of winning, Braun 25%, Brock retaining 5% and Joe 100% chance to be pinned.

This epitomises everything that is wrong with current wrestling. Card first, storyline second.

WWE don't allow you to emotionally invest in any characters or storylines anymore. At this point the rusted on fans who watch are pretty much just gymnastic judges, giving scores for how good the 'match' was in isolation, instead of there being any larger story arc or goal for the fans to look forward to.

Good point, I think with every PPV you can find the 'smark match' having a look through this year stuff like Ziggler/Nakumura or Rollins/Wyatt sounds okay and I'm sure satisfied those fans at the time, but months later they're already forgetten, and you could hardly call them 'rivalries'

Try to get her to watch a ppv that you know is good before summerslam. Otherwise it's going to be bad
