The steel cage match between Bret Hart and Sid for the title the Raw before WM was a brilliant moment too. Taker is wresting Sid at WM, Austin is wrestling Hart (and hates him). Yet during the match both Austin and Taker run in and interfere in an effort to win the match for their hated opponent (Austin trying to make Hart win, Taker/Sid, etc), so that their WM match would be for the title. Such a cool moment.

loved Bret's heel rant right after

"frustrated ain't a god damn word for it... this is bullshit. you screwed me, everybody screws me, and no one gives a god damn thing about it... no one in the building cares, no one in the dressing room cares... so much god damn injustice around here i've had it up to here... i know it, everybody knows it, i should be the wwf champion, and if you don't like it, tough shit!"

"you know why they call you Stone Cold? because your stones are so cold, you don't have the guts to come out here to face me yourself. you always have to jump me from behind, cmon!"

They're plugging Sunday Night Heat on USA Network, except it's not WWF SNH, it's a series of romance/steamy shows that they're collectively calling Sunday Night Heat. Lol.

Which is where the name of the show came from.

Funny that by applying HeAT on Sunday Night, the meat was still RAW on Monday Night.

Hogan was the best
Hitman no2
Warrior rocked
Savage was good when he won the title over Warrior maybe
British bulldog cool
Razor Ramon a goody
Lex Luther a machine
So too Sid justice
Undertaker crazy

Ahmed Johnson was a ****en beast. Such a huge man. God I hate JJ though always have hated every version of him.
Glad someone brought this up. 1996 was an interesting year in the WWF roster wise.

Razor Ramon and Diesel left the WWF. That opened up the main event and upper card spots when those 2 left to WCW.

A fair amount of blokes got pushed up the card.

Ahmed Johnson was one. He got the IC title in 1996. 1st African American guy to get it too.

Goldust, Austin, Mankind and HHH (after being punished for the Madison Square Garden incident in May 19th 1996) were all pushed up the upper end of the card.

Was pretty busy over the last few weeks so have just started watching a few more of these. 96 has some great little moments. Like Taker v Isaac Yankem. He probably thought his career was going nowhere at that point. Then the next year they make him Taker's brother which would end up being a 20 year thing.

Ringmaster beating up on a young Matt Hardy :thumbsu:

Also sad seeing the trio of Yoko, Owen and Bulldog, knowing how soon all 3 would be dead.
You look back at those WWF pay per views from Late 1995 to middle of 1996.... British Bulldog Davey Boy Smith had a fair bit of WWF title shots.

September 1995: Diesel and Hbk vs Yokozuna and British Bulldog. Triple header as Diesels WWF belt, Shawn Michaels ic belt and Yokozuna and Bulldog (subbing for Owen hart) tag belts was on the line.

October 1995: Diesel vs Bulldog for the WWF title

December 1995 : Bret Hart vs Bulldog for the WWF title. Bret beat Diesel for the WWF belt in the last month's Pay per view Survivor series.

May 1996: HBK vs Bulldog for the WWF title. Ended up as a draw or double pin.

June of 1996: HBK vs Bulldog rematch for the WWF title .

Considering the amount of title shots Bulldog had from late 1995 to mid 1996, you might of predicted for Bulldog to get a short title reign
