With the Brownlow on last night, the live show is on tonight (and decider tomorrow night) for this week only.

I think they should have replaced the Blue Carpet with the X Factor live shows live from the Brownlow (use the AFL Commission tables as the judges table for the first hour).

With Mel B in a room full of footballers she could have done a Fevola. Imagine the headlines - 'Mel B mauls Dane Swan' :D

Rubbish song choices and some atrocious singing. I don't watch this much but yeah. The older bloke and Reece so far (although song choice was ridiculous? I kissed a girl? Seriously? I was waiting to see if they changed any of the lyrics, lucky..). Hopefully the last few are good....

Once again Reece and Christina were the standouts today, while the other two under 25 girls (Tyla and Jacqui) were awful. The groups were good once again, Andrew and Johnny improved, and Mitchell (like Mitchell last year) is this year's 'deer in the headlights' contestant.

Here's how I rate the performances tonight

Reece
Christina
Andrew
Declan
Three Wishez
Young Mens Society
Audio Vixen
Johnny
Mitchell

Bottom 2
Tyla
Jacqui

My rankings for tonight

1. Young Mens society - People are either going to love it or hate it. I loved it and I thought it worked. They put their own spin on it without losing the feeling of the original and that is the definition of a good cover. Very brave as well.

2. Christina - I thought it was very fun. She's a bit too Miley cyrus for my liking but she knows how to work the stage better than everyone else imo.

3. Reece - I dont like the song choice and hated the kiss at the end but vocally it was very good and just like Christina, he really knows how to work the stage.

4. Andrew - I cant believe I liked him tonight. Good song choice and he seems to be getting a lot more comfortable on stage. First time Ive actually liked his voice too.

The rest were all meh Im not even gonna bother

I thought Reece and Andrew were best, YMS good performance tho don't like their style

Liked Christina previously but thought her vocals tonight were off - flat and rushed

Absolutely woeful performance from her tonight and she will probably go for it, but I challenge any hetrosexual man on here to say that they didnt thicken up over Jacqui's outfit.

:thumbsu:

Week two power rankings:

Based on a mixture of their week two performance and their previous performances.

1) Young Men Society
For the second week in a row, YMS remain in first position. I love their style. They continue to go from strength to strength.

2) Rheece
Was third on my list last week and, once again, he nailed it tonight despite a very tough song choice. He is very strong vocally and potentially he could be a superstar.

3) Three Wishez
Before the live performances started, they were my number one. Since then they have fallen from first to second and now to third. They are still very strong and I like them a lot, but I thought they struggled a little tonight. As Guy suggested, they need to bring a bit more of Black Eyed Peas chemistry into their performances.

4) Christina
For the second week in a row, Christina remains at number four. It's actually illegal for me to entertain the idea that she is a little hottie, as she is only fifteen, but she will emerge into an incredibly sexy rock chick when she matures. I love the energy she brings to the stage and she definitely has a strong range in her singing, vocally very good.

5) Declan
Another one to remain in the same position. Another very strong performance from Declan and, at this stage, I believe he is one of five who could take out the X Factor. I enjoyed the song choice tonight, and I feel he will continue to go from strength to strength.

DAYLIGHT

6) Andrew
He was incredibly good tonight, and once again remains in sixth position. I like him because he knows his limitations, and he is quite strong vocally. Excellent song choice from him tonight. I doubt he has the X Factor, but I would pay to see him perform.

7) Jacqui
Up one from eighth last week. I actually thought she was incredible tonight. She looks amazing and I will be delighted to see her continue on in the competition because she is great to look at. Despite what others think, I thought she did well tonight. Belinda Carlisle is my favourite female singer from the 80s, so I was happy to see another stunner take on a song of hers.

8) Audio Vixen
Down one from seventh. They were OK without being outstanding.

9) Johnny
The big mover this week, up three from 12th. He was much better this week. His movement on stage was a lot better, and the passion he brought onto the stage with him was a big improvement. Still not great vocally, but certainly not poor.

10) Mitchell
An improvement on last week, up one from eleventh, but his vocals let him down. Doesn't bring much energy to the stage, which lets him down.

11) Tyla
She was horrible tonight. Down two spots from ninth. I actually thought her performance was quite embarrassing. That really was not a good performance.

Young Men Society, Reece and Christina are a cut above the rest. I really like YMS because I think they could genuinely cut it as a real band, Reece has potential and a super voice and hope he doesn't fall into the Jack Vidgen/Justin Bieber sort of performing, would be awesome as a lead of a band actually. Christina will be a hottie and an awesome performer one day too.

I like Andrew but he won't win, would kill it if he had a concert amongst my Mum and her friends.

The rest I don't really see much in, particularly Declan, can't buy into his hype unfortunately.

Reece is by far the best singer. Has had the best performance two weeks in a row now. Christina will be the other singer in the final 2. I actually thought her performance last night was pretty bad - poor song choice and she kind of screamed it - but she was great the week before and is very popular.

All 3 groups are good (Ronan is by far the best mentor). The girl in 3 Wishez is an awesome singer. She's done great with both a Gaga and Rihanna song now. She should've just sung on her own and she would've made it in ahead of Tyla and Jacqui. Otherwise it would be nice to see some stronger males around her, such as Lazy J and Big Guy from Hype. I wasn't sold on YMS but they've had 2 very strong performances so far. They're singing still isn't the strongest but they're good fun. Audio Vixen is the opposite - they're singing is amazing but they're image just isn't strong enough to win. I thought they were better last week than this week.

Declan's probably the only other singer with a chance to make it far. He's got a unique image and style, and if he continues to make good song choices he could make the top 5.

The rest are all average. Tyla's a good alternative singer but for some reason has sung Adele and Gaga in back to back weeks. If she chooses weaker, more alternative singers to perform than she might make it a few more weeks. Mitchell is probably the best of this other 5, but he's uncomfortable on stage. They just need to get a band behind him and perform like it's in a pub. Johnny Ruffo shouldn't be in the top 12. His voice is incredibly weak. Andrew also shouldn't be in the top 12 and has no chance of ever being a star. Jacqui will be gone tonight after two weak performances in a row.

1. Reece

2. Christina

3. YMS
4. 3 Wishez
5. Audio Vixen
6. Declan

7. Mitchell

8. Tyla

9. Jacqui

10. Johnny
11. Andrew

Geez if Mastin doesn't win the whole thing......

Also , chicky babe from 3 wishez needs to purge the dead weight...ie , the 2 blokes who drag her down.

Jacquie should have gone last week and it was prove last night

Tyla was terrible too. Her performance was so boring and her hand movements drive me crazy :thumbsd:

Declan keeps surprising me each week:thumbsu:

I have no idea why people think Andrew performed badly. He actually is a decent singer.

I'm surprised with the views on Jacqui. I seem to be the only one who didn't mind her performance last night. At least she sings with passion, which is a lot more than I see Mitchell, Tyla and Audio Vixen as a whole produce.

I thought Tyla sang with more passion tonight and better than Jacqui

Nice work with the power ratings :)

Not on the Dogs board much these days X box?

I still read it daily. I still post there, but probably only weekly these days.

There are plenty of "decent singers" in Australia. Andrew is nothing special and in no way deserved to make the top 12.

The outer suburban aspirational bogan masses will love him though.

Bet on it.

Wouldnt be shocked if he won the thing to be honest.

Reece and Audio Vixen are my 2 favourites.

Reece will go far, with all the little girls voting for him every week, plus he can actually sing well.

After this week, I pretty much fell in love with the main girl from Audio Vixen. She has a great voice, and has this sort of cool sexiness to her.

The girl is the only decent singer in Audio Vixen

Ditch the rest and she could win the competition
