Honestly can't find the article but it stated he was drunk and swearing loudly and taking up an 'aggressive stance'.

It was one where the judge had a go at him and said he tends to do this once a year and needs to control his alcohol consumption.

Went into how he hadn't had a drop since March.

Not making it up. Just can't find the article now!
That was from the West Australian (07.07.2016) and you have quoted it spot on. It was the judge that made most of comments reportedly.

Was the judge there? He would have his information from the (unbiased) police report. Yarran would plead guilty and show remorse to make it go away no matter what the truth.

Move on orders are the 1st step to a police state and lead themselves to abuse by those in authority. An affront to democracy.

I think they can be used productively and counterproductively;it's a judgement and discretionary call by the powers that be.
As for Yarran's circumstances we'll never really know except for the fact the club seems to have dealt with it quickly, matter of factly and moved on.

At the end of the day RTB has laid down the law to guys like Yarren, Morabito and Deluca. Time is running out and your time is now or face the wrath of a harsh list assessment.

A mountain/molehill has been made of this minor indescretion for Yarren but there are 7 rounds remaining for these guys (incl. Yarren) to give good reason to stay on for 2017.

Yep.
Not being fit and available carries more life altering consequences than being a petty dill in Northbridge or wherever.
There are priorities.

I know Yaz has another year but do you honestly see him playing in purple this year ?
I don't unless we have some sort of injury to Mayne et el

The voice of reason coming from RTB is that if they earn there way in they will get a chance. He is keen to play particularly Yarren and Morabito but they have to earn the right. I'm not saying Yaz won't be on the list for 2017 but an underwhelming finish to the year and them writing off $55K will be a drop in the ocean.

And piss farting around in Northbridge isn't knocking the door down saying pick me!

Oh dear.

Glad they have the move on notices which gives kids an opportunity to remove themselves from a situation, which commonly happens at for example out of control house parties.

Much rather my kids where given a move on notice than arrested if caught up in a situation. Would like to think they would be smart enough to take the hint.

You still seem to mistakenly believe that police give move on notices instead of charging someone for a criminal act.

Police give move on notices to people who have committed no other crime. It's a license for police to just charge you for literally nothing.

What charge can be laid for someone drunk, swearing loudly and taking up aggressive stances? Is that drunk and disorderly? Genuine question.

Why should someone be charged for being drunk and swearing? Last I checked neither being drunk or swearing are crimes, or literally everyone in Australia would have a criminal record. And "taking up an aggressive stance"?????. Did he hit anyone? If he didn't hit anyone then he has not committed a crime.

Sorry but you just sound like a control freak.

Hmmmm. I'll leave this conversation. Fairly clear you have your opinion.
You should become a defense attorney.

I'm going to say everyone should leave this conversation actually.

Unless more info comes to light, thread closed. Keeping it open's not going to achieve anything
