Anyhow. For Year 12 students, out of curiousity (and as a basis of comparison I guess!) how much homework do you do per night/week? For which subjects do you do the most/least?

Last year I would've averaged 2-3 hours per week. Rather than assignments, I had in-class essays most Fridays, so the bulk of those 2-3 hours was spent learning useless information for English, Legal Studies and Economics.

In VCE...my levels of homework amounted to nil. I was too busy with media commitments, especially in Year 12. And given that it amounted to having a positive impact on my future, my school was flexible and supportive enough to let me undertake these pursuits. Woohoo!

Homework depends on a) The School b) The Subject c) The Student.

And I got a score which, well, put me in the top 10% of the state without lifting a finger for homework and turning up late for an exam.

My sister got a score which barely registered in the top 50%, and she worked her ass off.

Go Figure.
