Well well......

I couldn't be bothered waiting for the Xbox version so i bought AFL Live today on PS2 and i must say that it is easily the biggest pile of junk i now own (not for long) for PS2.

This game has a frame rate of about 5fps i reckon.

A smooth 30fps would be acceptable. A smooth 60fps preferable.

But the fame rate in this game is completely unacceptable - especially considering the tiny amount of things happening in the game at any given time. (this game looks like an "ok" PS1 game, at best. How a game that looks this bad could run so slowly i have no idea - the developers obviously have no idea either....)

I guess i'll be waiting for the Xbox version in the hope that it has a half-acceptable frame rate, although i'm not holding my breath. I'll certainly be selling my PS2 version after i've laughed at it a few more times, and i'll be making sure i test the Xbox version before i buy it.

The gameplay in this game, as terrible as it is, would be decent enough for a first attempt if the game actually ran smoothly.

It will be better on XBox, but having played a far bit of it on the PS2, i'm glad i didn't pay for it. Would have been the single-most greatest waste of money. The PS2 is an inferior platform ... but as you said ... how can Acc-lame justify a game that looks poor graphically and runs so slow?

The XBox version will be better graphically ... but gameplay?

The PS2 is capable of great things if you have the time and the know-how to get the most out of it.

These guys had the time, yet still this game is pure evil junk.

The gameplay is terrible, and will stay terrible on Xbox (a change of console ain't gonna change the basic play mechanics!), but it would be half playable if it at least had a decent frame rate. It might not be any good, but you would still be able to enjoy playing it. But not at 5fps.

This game is barely PS1 quality.

Oh - and it wasn't a waste of money. The fact that i don't have to wait another 3 weeks to be disappointed was worth the $90 alone. Now i can get back to waiting for Pro Evolution 2 and playing Ikaruga.....

I just want to fricking play it so i can make my own judgements. I think even if it is crap it will still be fun when your mates come over. Plus we all need an AFL game and this is the best of them so i will buy it regardless.

What im truly excited about though is NBA2K3 for XBox and other great titles coming to XBox like Medal of Honour AA, Splinter Cell, Star Wars KOTOR, Star Wars Jedi Knight 2 etc etc
