Awesome work, Mobbs.

Just wondering, would there be any way to configure that based on the weather, or is that already a function in the sim? Say, accuracy (well, the chance of kicking a goal) runs at 60% on warm days, 40% on wet, 55% on fine, etc.

Tough one. Yes but tough. Currently all that weather does is affect the speed of play. So there are more transactions (translating to higher scores and higher stats) on a day more conducive to effective ball-movement.

Yeah, I knew that one. It would be an interesting factor, though. (Not that I'm asking you to implement it, or anything, I know you have a lot on your plate... :thumbsu:)

Good to see a FF actually get votes, too.

Nice work Mobbenfuhrer , now about that anti-Roys 'bug'.
under implementation

Every time the team name comes up with "Roys" in it, the sim is going to add " (lol)" after the text.

Now all we need is a way to "reward" backmen for shutting out forwards (like an inverted table where a 0 provides benefit and a 7 detracts or a "spoil" function/addition to be called on spoiling to then add to DT/ EP amounts) and you also beef up the less desired defensive positions without impacting the results or ability of forwards to play well.

I always did wonder how looking through the Gumbies history blokes could kick 80-100+ goals over a season and then it basically halved over a preseason. Seemed entirely odd.

Just think-tanking. Is there a way to implement either/or game position commentary or team related commentary.

i.e Kick to put the team back in front - "He's kicked it, <team> back in front.
Goal to thwart a run on by the opposition "And <player> drills it, boy did the <team> need that.
Or even mid play events - say a big tackle. "<player> crunches <player>, that should lift the <team>

I'm looking at this at the moment. The sim doesn't differentiate between a FF dropping a sitter out on his own, and being awesomely spoilt in a marking attempt by a gun defender. These are just "didn't take the mark, play on" + {random comment for didn't take mark, play on}, so it's difficult in that respect. But nethertheless, a ratio of how many attempts to give the FF a disposal ended in him/her getting that disposal.would be a good start. So I'm going to examine some recording of that stat.

This I would LOVE to do, but it's REALLY hard. There are SO many variables.

On the third example, I am doing something with the "flatten" category of tackles that I think will be fun. For a start Ive made them less prolific, as they are kind of over-saturated.

is there a way to make the full forward more active? I mean most full forwards have 8 touches and kick 4.4. Is there a way to make it that they maybe push up the ground about or dish a few handballs or something?

That's a problem because the FF/FP line is essentially the last line in front of the goals, so there really isn't anyone for them to pass to as passing (I believe) requires movement up the ground. Something like that...but it would be cool to see forward pockets have eight to ten disposals for three goals rather than three kicks for the same score, for example, so I agree.

FP's are meant to enjoy the option of XKICK - kicking across ground. FF's are hogs though.

I think this would be really good, defence positions need to be more desirable to play.

Unpossible - FF's rarely get the ball and even more rarely take a mark.

Rfctigerarmy is also badly off - 17.30 before todays games.

here's one :

DoesHeHandball:
IF V = 5 AND RND(1) > .25 THEN GOTO DoesHeHaveShotAtGoal ' LESS CHANCE IN FRONT OF GOAL
IF V = 5 AND H = 2 AND NOT FP AND RND(1) > .15 THEN GOTO DoesHeHaveShotAtGoal ' EVEN LESS CHANCE IF FULL FORWARD

... if V= 5 (forward line) and H=2 (centre player = FF), chance of not handballing is greater.

It's logical that if the FF is in the goal square he wouldn't handball. Looking at the season's stats, no FF has a positive G/B ratio. One player, position unknown, has kicked 18.4 which is more like a FF would get.
