I selected this title because when she got to 6,000 posts some months back, she entitled her own self-congratulatory thread, "A topic people are sure to hate", or something to that effect...
Anyhoo... Mantis will get to the dizzying heights of 7,000 posts very shortly. And I wanted to start the thread for her.

That's right... 7,000 posts for Mantis!!!

Sandie, you're a sweet lady (nothing like the "pit bull" self-description above your avatar) and a dear friend. I always enjoy our discussions and our chats, you're fun to discuss the issues with here, or even sharing time together in PC's bar & grill.

In fact, I'll shout your next round there whenever you're ready.

even if the Cats will beat the Bombers on Saturday night... hoping you take this comment semi-seriously

Thanks for the big build-up, not sure it's warranted & I am sure there are quite a few who would disagree with you.

Congratulations Sandie. One of BigFooty's legends, always entertaining and a fellow interstate Bomber fanatic.

And, with the amazing day's alcohol excess on Anzac Day, it was great to have the opportunity to meet up with you - and, as You_idiot has already mentioned, you are a wonderful person and nothing like the "pit bull" persona. So many legendary stories were created that day - and it's most appropriate that you bring up such a momentous BigFooty posting milestone on Lioness22's birthday.

Congratulations once again on the 7,000 posts - hope there'll be many more.

So I am guessing you don't spend much time on the "Carlton Supporters Club" site.

It really doesn't make much difference how many posts I get, I just love this site, definitely the best footy site around, with the best members.

I spend far too much time on the Carlton Supporters Club site to be honest, and all you opposition supporters are more than welcome to spend some time there too !!

I was actually referring to the fact that the majority of people on the site will be lucky to get to 2000 posts in their lifetime, 7000 is virtually unheard of. It's like being the Michael Tuck/Kevin Bartlett of the internet.

Not really, I joined BF in April 2000 & because this site is so addictive, before you know it you have 7000 posts.

But I have enjoyed nearly every moment of being on this site, I have met a lot of wonderful people who all love footy as much as me & made a lot of really good friends.

No harm, no foul, Sandie... I come to expect this from Slax, anyhow... whenever ANYONE has a tribute thread, it seems to always come back to me.

But he did pay me a nice compliment about my work in the soccer forum-- and considering I make a good living out of my soccer reporting, I think it all levels out.

And by the way, Slax... Colac is nowhere near Ballarat, a place that I do love to live in.
