Last year, just before Christmas, I was out on the Christmas present crawl, I heard a band on JJJ being interviewed on Myf Warhurst's program. They were from Minnesota and were touring Australia at the time. Hadn't heard of them before and jiggered if I can remember the name of them now. Style was.... I dunno.... maybe a cross between The Shins (circa Chutes Too Narrow) and Violent Femmes with some Modest mouse thrown in. That's probably a crap description, but it was a coupla months ago now.

Just hoped that someone may know who I'm talking about. Or at least point me somewhere that might be a good place to start looking. JJJ website has nothing. I'd probably recognise the name if I saw it.

Tapes n Tapes? A quick Google search of Minnesota bands that have toured Australia brought them up, the wiki on them says they are an indie band which would fit into the JJJ demographic, also according to their website they toured here in Dec last year.

If Monkster is correct, try looking for their track 'Cowbell'. Kinda quirky but I reckon its quite sweet
