I know this kid only played 6 games last year, but he was pretty bloody good in those and he's been killing the training and intra club. Should be able to hold down a back flank role this year, a younger, better skilled Chaff style footballer. Thoughts?

A better skilled Chaffey? what an insult
This kid will be our future center, he'll play there as a taller, heavier Voss, perhaps more like Kouta I guess
Certainly won't be relegated to a half back flank, thats where you put players like Pettifer

Either way imo he will be a regular this year. He also adds mongrel to a team that otherwise has none, now that zantuck is gone.

AAnother player i beleive will play alot of senior footy will be andy raines.

Ok, easy there tiger, all I meant was this year, calling him Kouta or Voss after 6 games is a huge huge call. Chaff is a very good footballer, can mark and has got plenty of guts. He just turns the ball over too often, especially at CHB. Jackson will be taller and heavier in years to come for sure, but i was talking about this year!

And furthermore, if it was up to me Pettifer would've gone to Bungaree with the coach that wasn't!!!! Don't insult good back flankers by saying Pettifer should play there!!!!

Would have to be one of the most hyped players by the Richmond faithful in recent times, which is really saying something.

Played 6 games last year and got around 8 touches a game. Definitely showed something but too early to call.

If he turns out to be half as good as some predict he'll be, then he'll be a champion.

a future star for sure. those who are goin to training on wednesday should keep an eye on jackson. absalute champion at the min. for sure a future star, future leader and likely a future captain. ;)

I'm not sure about this year but for the long term, richmond see jackson as a full-back. As such, he will most likely be groomed in the back line. Personally i'd love to see him in the middle but his work at ground level is believed to be not quite there. Bit disappointed that players that provided a bit of excitement (Schulz, Jackson), be it only on occasion, will be in the backline. Still think Jackson will be a gun, but probably too early to tell.

Went to training today, he looked good. Bigger, fitter and he's definitely hard at it, loves the physical stuff. Somebody on BF.com has labelled him Archer-like. I think thats a big call but nice to see him coming on.

I think he'll end up being a very good player for us, but I'm not sure yet where exactly he will fit in. He is big and strong for his age and playing some games last year was a bonus given he was a bottom-aged pick. He's a good chance of picking up a rising star nomination this year.
