I voted for Waite, but I thought Collingwood fans would have biasedly skewed the results towards young Travs favour, get into it Pie fans.

given that White is 22, Waite 23, Hunter 24 and Hentschel is 23 compared to Travis Cloke being only 19
Cloke would definitly have to be the best key forward prospect given he cemented a spot as a tall forward half way through his first season of AFL

how could you vote for waite, seriously he is overrated to the extreme.

Carlscum Wan*ers think he is the second coming of wayne carey.

thats why its a poll you :D:D:D:Ding moron:so people can have their own opinions without ******s like you telling them that you are wrong.

please get this into your head: NOT ONE CARLTON SUPPORTER THINKS JARRAD WAITE IS THE SECOND COMING OF WAYNE CAREY. show me one place where this has been said. wat's that, you can't? making bullcrap up to support your 'argument' is just ridiculous.

by the way, please, as a collingwood supporter, don't talk to us about over-rating your players. collingwood fans are almost the worst supporters there are in regards to doing this.

moron.

:thumbsu:

work buddy, you are definetly right about this one.

Oh, and Waite will be a far better player than Trav. Trav may be able to become about as good as Anthony Rocca, I think Waite has the potential to be just a shade under Warren Tredrea in ability, but about 60% less physically imposing.

I can't believe Waite, who is incapable of taking a mark with his hands out in front, is leading this poll.

Waite is the most talented player of the bunch, but he won't make it as a KP forward.

no williams? hate to tell you, but he is a key positioner, you don't have to be tall to be classified that.

a key position forward is... FF, CHF...

Williams starts at FF, meaning he is a key positioner! and he is only young as well, so i vote for him.

if you want people to vote on the best young tall forwrads name the thread that, not best young key forward

And how old is he? He is only 18 or something, looks really good. The fact that he and Murphy weren't in this list astounds me.
Murphy?

Cleve Hughes will be better then all of them, will be a gun.
But i voted for cloke because he is the only one who is "young"

Agree with you on Hughes - I had him rated at #10 in the last draft. I don't quite see him becoming a pure Key Forward though, more like a Chris Tarrant who uses his mobility to lead up and around the ground in the half-forward area. Will be good though.

As for Cloke being the only one who is young:

Damon White: Drafted in 2001, 22 years old.
Jarrad Waite: Drafted in 2001, 23 years old.
Adam Hunter: Drafted in 1999 (), 24 years old.
Trent Hentschel: Drafted in 2001, 23 years old. (technically the 2002 PSD, but took place in 2001)

Compared to:

Travis Cloke: Drafted in 2004, just turned 19 years old.

When Adam Hunter was drafted, Travis Cloke was only 13 years old. You can hardly class them both as "Young Key forwards"...

I heard him described as similar to Tredrea, is that a fair description?

Nah - Only in so far as being more half forward than full forward.

More like Tarrant in style, really. Less athletic, but a better kick than Tarrant.

Should be good, but you'll still need someone to stand up at FF when Richo retires, and you'll need a bullocking player to man CHF and take contested marks.
