Hampson is going to the best ruck of the 2006 draft. A fantastic pick by Hughes.![]()

Renouf will be better than Hampson.
Easily.

What has Leunberger actually even done..Nothing, on potential probably Berger.. However McIntosh clearly has the runs on the board and should be #1
But you haven't seen Renouf play.lol. Not even close. Hampson has about 3-4x the talent level of Renouf, easily. Hampson was a recruiting masterstroke. As good as the Berger is, Hampson will be even better. Hampson is closer to the 203cm mark now, and his speed and athleticism are extreme, and his leap off-the-scale. He was considered a "risk" in the draft because of his limited football background, but his development is progressing way ahead of schedule. With Hampson, Kruezer, and Aisake, the Blues have the most talented developing rucks in the AFL now. Still an enormous amount of development work required obviously, but the potential is massive.![]()

It astounds me how the Blues stuffed up another #1 pick in drafting Gibbs when obtaining Leunberger should have been their biggest priority. Clearly the drafting of Kruzuer this year was a knee jerk reaction as none of the Cartlon coaching staff must rate their ruck talent. By the end of next year we will see why many recruiters rated Kruzer more so in the 5-10 range rather than the media derived "#1 pick"
.I don't need to argue the Leuenberger-Hampson duel. Quietly confident on our side of the fence.![]()

nah............. berger by a mileHampson is going to the best ruck of the 2006 draft. A fantastic pick by Hughes.![]()
And what exactly has Jetta done? We took Grigg who had a better first season than Jetta..Essendon played carlton like a deck of cards.
carlton were keen on Jetta and Hampson.
Essendon put a well placed, don't ask, rumour out that they would be picking Hampson with our second pick.
We had no intention of taking a ruckman as we had targeted midfielders as our priority, after the obvious choice of Gumbleton.
Jetta, thanks blues, Davey, Houli and Reimers, all mids....
carlton fell for it and picked Hampson, leaving us Jetta.
what's that saying i keep hearing all the time....ummm, oh that's it, huge laughs![]()
And what exactly has Jetta done? We took Grigg who had a better first season than Jetta..
Just like Collingwood were supposedly played when they took Thomas ahead of Ellis?Jetta has done little apart from show a few promising signs in the seniors early in the year and from there was injured most of the year.
Thing is we could of had Grigg if we wanted him as you drafted him after Jetta.
Don't get me wrong, i like Grigg and think he will be a good footballer but Hampson is being rated by carlton supporters as a superstar before he has done a thing.
Hughes was played like a deck of cards.

Davey is a midfielder now?
If Davey is a midfielder, then Eddie Betts is Daniel Kerr after comparing how many first possessions and clearances Davey and Betts had in 2007. And Nerv thinks we overrate Hampson when Essendon fans rate Davey a midfielder and a potential gun.
LOL.
We passed on Davey four times.
McIntosh will be the best young ruck in the AFL until Naitanui is drafted this year.
There are a million Jettas in every draft, but there aren't that many big men in every draft who have the potential of Hampson and Kreuzer and run like midfielders.
Bombers picked Bellchambers in the PSD last year, so they definitely weren't after a ruck.![]()
