Sweetttt!!! Lucky lucky lucky.

Did you end up coming back to Geelong?[/quote]

No I didn't unfortunately. I just missed it.

My mate (a damn Roos supporter who wearing one my Geelong jumpers cos he thought he'd have a better chance picking up...) kept making me wait for him as he was trying to get some chick to come with us.

As we rocked up, the train was pulling away. Sounds like Geelong was the place to be after that too.:(

Just off topic a bit here sorry, but is there going to be anything to do on Tuesday night in Geelong? Thinking bout booking a room, going out for a few drinks then going to the parade in Geelong the next day.

Aww no! Yeah Geelong was going off when we got back at about 10.

You could go to the movies on Tuesday...

Well I ended up with a few mates and a LOT of Malibu and coke and Vodka UDL's.. started drinking at 11 am.. Was like a kid on Christmas day during the entire game. My mate had to go and say sorry to the neighbours cause the the noise we were making haha.

As soon as the siren sounded at the end of the 4th 1/4 I was standing on the lounge and jumped onto the other one to give my mate a hug.. As a result of being drunk and jumping from a lounge... I now limp.. But it was worth the pain...

Maybe they could open up a cinema in Geelong and play the Grand Final? Make it BYO and you have a recipe for the ultimate cinema experience!;) Gees, I'd be up for it! Good idea eliiiiza:thumbsu:.

Bump :)

This is more about my Grand Final WEEK, than just the day itself!! Just got back from Geelong this afternoon, and this has quite possibly been the best week of my life. I think it’ll be all downhill from here, from now on!!!

Grand Final: Went to the game! Once I got over my vertigo, settled in well at my seat in the Ponsford Stand. Kinda knew we had it won at quarter time. The score reminded me a little of the Carlton GF of 95, cept in reverse of course… Anyway, had a great time celebrating after the match. Was over joyed when they finally stopped playing the Geelong theme song and put on “We are the Champions”.

Then onto Fed Square for the players presentation and met up with my old mum. Cried when I saw her, not to mention almost breaking her in half with the bear hug I applied!! After Fed Square, headed to G-town!! After wandering around looking for a CAR PARK.. yes a whole car park.. not just the car… we were finally on our way to Geelong. Got there and were dumbfounded by the site!! Quickly got a bite to eat and then made our way back into the city. Did a couple of runs down Moorabool St in the middle of the traffic. Awesome atmosphere.

Sunday
: Had a beautiful hot breakfast at the Warf Shed, then onto the Family Day. Too bad about the weather, but still a great day!! Max Rooke should do comedy..

Monday: Back home to Melbourne for recovery..

Tuesday: Watched the GF replay on Foxtel, while making a mix tape (yes TAPE, how embarrassment :o), of songs that have always reminded me of football. Holy Grail, etc etc.. all the bogan songs. Anyway, made the tape for the trip down to Geelong the next day.

Wednesday: Parade day! Woke up early and hit the road by 8.30am. Hung scarf out the window all the way down the Ring Rd and beyond. Tape I made the other day, blaring out the speakers… Parade was fantastic, better than the family day imo. You could just get a lot closer to the players. Was overjoyed by a “thumbs up” by Scarlo and a high five from Chappy. I will never wash my right hand ever again…. After the parade had a great lunch with some of the BF crew at Bended. (Btw, thank for coming guys). And then headed down to the foreshore at Geelong. And no we DID NOT have a ride on the carousel.. if anyone tells ya different, do not believe them… Wednesday night went out on the town.. but unfortunately Geelong was truly hungover. Oh well… Still kicked Budda230s ass at pool.. Should have put some money on the games dam it..

Thursday: Chill out day. Slept in and wandered down to the Cats Shop. I got myself a Navy Premiership T-shirt (haha, I fit into Junior size so it's $15 cheaper), the white premiership cap, a bumper sticker and a navy cap for my mum. Afterwards took a drive to Torquay, where we got Geelong Addys, and a whole heap of WEG and other posters.

Friday (today): Woke up at my place in St Leos. (I cant stay at Eliiizas forever), ready to drive down to Apollo Bay for the day, get some fresh Lobster for lunch… Woke up tho to receive a text message, that since I haven’t been online for the past few days, have missed out on a ticket to the Best and Fairest last night!!!!!!!!!! BipDropPunt, thanks anyway dude. Not happy. Oh well, shit happens… decide to try on my new premiership cap and check out how it looks in the mirror. Instead and am scared witless by a ****ing huntsman spider on the bathroom wall. Maybe it was saying “Hey Shell, that cap DOES look great on you”.. I’m not sure.. I was too busy screaming and running to the other end of the house. After that excitement, I thought that is it, I’ve now had enough. Time to go home. :o

THANK YOU, to the Geelong Football Club for all your hard work, dedication and perserverence. This has certainly been a week to remember!! And to all the GFC supporters, you guys are awesome!! Can't wait to do it all again..

How many days till next season anyway? ;)

I was up early.. couldnt miss anything. Watched the grand final breakfast
even though it was a little bit boring.

Went shopping.. needed grand final food.. had a chat to a few of my port
friends (they seemed confident that port would win..)

Went to a friends house who has a massive LCD plasma television..:thumbsu:

I was with 6 other port supporters..
1st quarter: very good. i yelled at the tele every time they got a goal!
2nd quarter: port supporters werent happy about their team.
3rd quarter: things seemed to get even better.. i had quite obviously
told the port supporters that they had lost and the premiership was ours.
4th quarter: it just kept getting better every minute.. port supporters
had almost stopped watching the game..

The siren had gone.. i was jumping up and down.. then i had to deal with
port supporters and then answer about 20 text messages congratulating
me and the team :thumbsu::)

it was great!

The GF was on my Mum's birthday.

I got up at 9am, made her a really yummy breakfast, then watched lots of Masterchef Goes Large (british cooking show) and the Pre-GF show. Then the GF.

And my Mum got the best present she could ask for: Geelong (our team) winning the Grand Final after 44 years.

Must be sweet, being a Geelong supporter living in Adelaide... Well, either that, or dangerous. :p
