Such a weird game.
Did something to my knee last week and now I finally get the swing back?
Played Par Saturday on one leg basically and won the comp having been 5 down at one point and finishing square after having par on the last 5 holes. Still can’t believe that score won but my hcp has blown out that much it put me in B grade which I have really copped it for.. Bandit!!
And here I am now sitting awaiting an MRI for what the doc suspects could be a torn ACL

Just played a quick 9 at Freeway golf and god there were a few holes that were literally under water. The 1st hole particularly was an absolute nightmare. Its a par 5 which runs along a creek ( very close to the yarra) and the whole thing was just mud. Anyway shot an 8 on in it then from there played good golf. Ended up hitting 43 off nine which I was pleased with.
Have tomorrow off and wanting to play 18. Where in Melbourne will be in good nick to get a round in tomorrow. Honestly thinking of driving down to Bay Views because I know that holds off the rain well.

Sandringham...Next to royal Melb...sitting on our Sandbelt! Maybe Albert Park...will be dryish but I was not happy with its condition last time I played. A wet summer might have helped the Kikuyu thicken out on the fairways though.

St Andrews beach gc!

Played there a couple weeks back. Absolutely loved it. A few horror holes ruined the score card but otherwise played the course really well. Sadly didn't see any Kangaroos.

Sandringham...Next to royal Melb...sitting on our Sandbelt! Maybe Albert Park...will be dryish but I was not happy with its condition last time I played. A wet summer might have helped the Kikuyu thicken out on the fairways though.

Have never played Sandringham and my old man keeps saying that I must! Ended up booking at Bay views in Rosebud have come down with a mate who has a house down here. $28 for a round of 18 on a decent public track ain't so bad. 11:07 tee off bring it on

Had another good round of par today but fell away a bit late, falling off them a bit and pushing them and fell to -2 but swung well.
Then got the results, partial tear of PCL.. great!

Had one of the best starts to a round you could imagine today. Par, Birdie, Birdie, Birdie. I was -3 through 4. Ended up with 40 points 23/17.

Yeah I agree with the others but you can’t go wrong really on any.

Driving the ball great at the moment, just struggling to get it on the green. 10 fairways (and 3 of the 4 misses weren't bad misses) 4 greens and 3 of those were par 3's. A couple of poor chips as well to only score 90.

The old course at national never ever ceases to amaze. My favourite course.

56 off 9 at Spring Park today. Could not seem to find a fairway, just kept hooking them and playing out of the rough. Score blew out on the par 5 where I recorded a 10. Found trouble on the right and couldn't get out of the lie.

Second blowout hole I was on the green in 2, putting for par and finished with a 7.... just kept going long when downhill and short when uphill, steep slope left and just couldn't read it.

Surprisingly chipping and pitching was the strength today. Kept me in the game on some holes. Hit a few beauties that popped over trouble and landed cushion soft on the green, just couldn't make the putts to capitalise on them...

Its actually a pretty fun little course. Good variation in the holes, different shapes and youve got to play some different shots.

Now when calculating my daily handicap I have no idea how to use it. If my daily was 25, how do I apply it per hole? Or do I just minus 25 at the end of the round?

32 on Thursday and 26 today. Geez the handicap is starting to blow out. Two weeks ago my GA handicap was 13.2. Now it’s 15.3 after today’s round.

Goal is to be off 20 by end of year

Every hole has a ranking in terms of hardest to easiest on the scorecard. Called the INDEX.

So index 1 = hardest, 18 = easiest.

If a person is off 18 for the day, they get 1 shot a hole (18 shots 18 holes). IF off 19, they get 1 shot per hole....AND an extra shot on the easiest hole

Index 1 = 2 shots
index 2-18 = 1 shot

You are off say 25, it means you get an EXTRA 7 shots. Ergo, on holes indexed 1-7, you get 2 shots.

Think of it like this.

You have 18 important people in your life. You rank them 1-18.

You have 25 cups of water. And its hot.

Everyone gets a cup each but you have 7 left over. So you give one to 1st, 2nd......7th so they drink more and survive. the otehrs die,
