I agree ...it's a good line up...i'd consider changing Dunc and Chaff for Campbo and Cameron.

Thats a good team. Injury free we are up there with the best of them. I expect FIORA, NEWMAN and TIVENDALE to have "breakout" seasons. I expect MCGRATH and KRAKOUER to be regular first teamers, and they will provide some awesome highlights. HILTON is said to be keen to prove to people that he was one of the best rated juniors for a reason, and then we have the man COUGHLAN who will become more of a leader, along with OTTENS. The two new boys JOHNSON and BLUMFIELD will be a huge boost to the midfield. STAFFORD, RICHO, HALL, OTTENS will be dominant as usual, if injury free. Overall I can't wait for next season, it WILL be a good one.

Our depth is not just our best 22 this next year. We really have problems with being able to miss a senior player be able to replace them with another valuable senior player. Blumfield and Johnson give us that!

BTW: I was refering to the initial post missing campbell. I was a little too oblique about my comment.

IMV, Ottens is a better Ruck option while Stafford is extremely dangerous in front of goal - a much better contested mark.

Richo is most dangerous as a CHF who covers the whole attacking half of the ground - there are few who can stop him in this role.

I've done away with trying to find a true crumbing forward. I've got the 2 big fella's in Richo and Stafford who are complemented with 4 mid-sized players who can all mark and can all kick goals.

Rodan should be better for another pre-season and should have the physical hardness and fitness for an on-ball role. Do not forget that it was in this role that he won consecutive Morrish medals. All I have seen sofar suggest that he will have no problems in translating this into the Big League.

I like the idea of having Bowden and Tivendales thumping left feet driving the ball long into the tall forwards.

Coughlan is a monty for the centre positions. A decent burst of peroxide on his head and he is a Brownlow chance.

Gaspar, Andy Kellaway and Ben Holland have all proven themselves steady in the key defensive positions and Zantuck's improvement last year shows that he can match it with any forward - just ask Matthew Lloyd!

Campbell and Chaffey are both steady, dependable players who have the time and poise to set play up off half back. This has been the domain of Leon Cameron in the past but I am not sure if it has all passed him by? Time will tell here.

On the bench I've got Duncan Kellaway as a tagger, Newman and Fiora on a midfield rotation and Hall as an extra tall / utility player.
