Round 8; Adelaide vs Brisbane, AAMI Stadium
JohnK (Adelaide Review): Leigh, having signed up for two more years, are you beginning to evolve a new Brisbane which will be developed by somebody else or do you think this current squad still has another grand final or two left in it?
Leigh Matthews: Not on the way we've played the last month. I mean we are just battling our way through and trying to win a game here or there when we can. It would be nice to get our best team on the field but every other side would say that as well. If 100% is your best side on the field, we've never got more than 95% on the field in any one game. Sometimes we have been lower than that. And so have many other teams. So you go with the flow. But, if Jamie Charman was available, for instance, and Bradshaw, Brennan, it makes a difference if you can supplement your team with those three or four, but we have never been able to get a team which hasn't had two or three missing this year.

JK; Leigh, has it been nice to get away from the Gabba heat, with the mild conditions here tonight?
Leigh: The Gabba hasn't been hot for the last bit... it wasn't hot last Saturday night. In fact, we put a jumper on on Thursday -- that's how cold it's got. It's warmer in Adelaide than it has been in Brisbane.
