Your team for Round 1.

Just thought I'd see what everyone thinks will be the projected side for Round 1 against the Hawkers. Mind would be.....

FB: Wheatley Nicholson Broadbridge

HB: Walsh Bizzell Whelan

C: Yze Johnstone J McDonald

HF: Vardy Schwarz Armstrong

FF: Robertson Neitz Bruce

Rucks: White Leoncelli Woewodin

I/C: Green A McDonald Broadbridge Powell

Emerg: N Brown Funcke Clark.

What would you pick, taking into account injuries etc.

Looks pretty good, changes I'd make would be to move Woe to a back flank while he is struggling for form at least. Walsh could then be rotated through the midfield, moving Armstrong as a starter in the midfield if needed.
I'd also swap Powell with J Mac, and then Godfrey onto the I/C at the expence of J Mac. (we need a good tagger for Chick)

Yeah, not too bad. I had Powell on the bench cos of him returing from injury and that we won't want to put too much pressure on him.

Walsh would start before Whelan, but other than that, very good.

I agree with that team.... but I still think Neita should be at CHB. If he needs to be moved Bizzell can always come down to FF.

Neitz won't play CHB pretty much for the year. Daniher has got Ellis, Biz, Nicho etc for key defensive posts and he wants Neitz down forward. Even Neitz wants to be down forward. So, it won't happen.

Yeah well.... that just sucks!!!

But in case of injury (hopefully none), Neita might have to go down back!

We have a weak backline right? Woey is out of form right? He played well on Hird last year in the backline, and seems to be able to play there ok. If he was to play back for a few games it would strengthen the backline as well as possibly playing him into form.
Oh and I agree about Clark!
