No way geelong, while their will be healthy sprinkling of AFL listed players, guys like Playfair, Gardiner and King are gone plus players like Byrne are getting on. Even out of our VFL listed players we have lost Scott Thompson (bloody North!).

Collingwood anyone?

I think Werribee will be strong this year, they have a strong list of VFL listed players, with Pods etc.

The North aligned players are very strong as well

Leigh Adams (Tassie B&F Winner 07')
Ben Davies (Willi B&F Winner 07')
Todd Goldstein
Levi Greenwood
Matt Riggio
Ben Ross
Scott Thompson
Scott McMahon
Lachlan Hansen

Will all see some time there this year. Should have a very strong backline if all of Riggio, Greenwood, Hansen and Thompson line up during the year.

Williamstown.

Their recruiting has been very solid, which will put pressure on the Dogs players lining up with them.

Just looking at who Williamstown have signed and re-signed

Jason Cloke (Bendigo VFL)
Dean Galea (West Adelaide)
Matthew Little (Hawthorn)
Ben Jolley (Bendigo)
Callum Urch (Kangaroos)
Jackson Barling (SANFL)
Matthew Long
Steven Greene (re-signed)
Brett Johnson (re-signed)
Kane McKenzie (re-signed)
Cameron Lockwood (re-signed)

Tassie to improve

Thanks god Tassie are again Tassie!

The Devils will be back to that old Tassie self pride which made them make 3 finals series in a row 03,04 & 05.

It was a doomy gloomy 2 years whilst aligned to Nth. To think crowds went from 4>5,000 to under 2,000 a game says it all.

They will probably finish outside the 8 but will be OK and the locals will hop back on board.

Nah it's because all their fans are bandwagoners, the minute they start losing they're like 'Tassie who? Never followed 'em in me life!' LOL.
Under 2,000 is right, actually up at York Park they couldn't even drag in more than 900 to half their games.

Don't forget our leading goalkicker Todd Grima has gone. Also Tim Callan, who has been very good for our VFL side.
We might scrape into the bottom half of the top 8 at best.

I think the Northern Bullants are a bit of a smoky to win, we all remember how good they were 2-3 years ago, but could never cap of their great work during the season with a flag. Maybe this is their year, Players like Carrazzo and Bannister might be forced out of the Blues team and star with the bullants.

Geelong to win again. Very strong

As previously stated we've lost several of the core of the VFL side from last year - King, Playfair, Gardiner, Callan, Grima, Spencer, Thompson and Sam Hunt are gone, but more importantly we'll have a new lot of raw kids who will need a season or 2 to find their feet at the new level: McKenna, Laidler, Kangars, S. Simpson, D Simpson, Donohue. In the cases of Harry Taylor and Brodie Moles it could be assumed that they're already at VFL level, Moles playing for the Devils and Taylor in the WAFL. Mumford was rookied from the VFL list so he's not really "new". Adding to this, we've still got Hogan, Bedford and Djerrkura who are not quite there yet, although Djerrkura could well be in the 1s if he applied himself and stayed fit (which seems to be a problem at the moment). I would be surprised if a team with this many new faces made the second week of finals to be honest.

Geelong wont win it, thier best player Brent Prismall will see plenty of senior action this year. and other losses to the club will hurt too. Watch for Werribee to be big improvers, and Williamstown to take out the flag.
The bendigo Bombers will be strong too, as plenty of experienced seniors will be playing in the magoos!
