youtube views tips/hints?

I'm in a competition with a mate to see who can get most video views on youtube by the end of the year. does anyone have any tips on how i can get lots? I currently have 849 views from 7 videos and it has taken a while to get to that many. He meanwhile has 3500ish from 3 videos in alot shorter time.
