As a lover of what i deem to be good music, and what i see as the lack of it currently I was very suprised to stumble across this band out of Brisbane
I think i heard one of their songs on TripleJ and then i just became hooked

"Polka" and "silence is distance" are probably the best two songs ive heard this year so have a listen to them on their website

http://www.yveskleinblue.com/

also id like to know whether there is anyone else that listens to em..cos no-one i know has heard of em..so from my point of view im sitting on a musical goldmine:D

does he want me to give an explanation of "good music" or something??

They toured with TLE when TLE were The Longnecks earlier this year. Saw them and was bloody amazed, terrific band. Top blokes too, got to meet them afterwards. Funny as hell. If you join their mail list you will get a very funny email once a month. The Rhys Palmer of Aussie pop.

Your usually not a big fan of people labelling one style of music as "good" and one as "bad", or one band being "commercial" and the other "non-commercial"

Anything that anyone likes and gets pleasure out of is good music. The OP likes Yves Klein Blue so it is good music. I liked there live performance so it
is good music.

I am not sure as to why you bothered commenting.

no they arent top blokes

bunch of pretencious wanna-be lets be different or at least attempt to be different to be noticed

its amazing the sudden transformation in image of those boys from school to uni to coming together as a band...

all of a sudden they dress to get attention and act like they are musical know-it-alls

Good mates with them are you? All I know is that they had plenty of time for a new fan who they had never seen before, at some low key venue in country Victoria. Are you a former jealous school mate?

Saw them tonight at their single launch in Melbourne at The Toff in Town, for their new single, Getting Wise.

Very impressed. Think this album will do pretty well for them.

Highlight of the show, was an acoustic song sung just by the singer. His acoustic guitar didn't want to work through the PA, so he got the whole crowd to be really quiet, and sang the song without the PA as loud as he could...

The anguish on his face as he was trying to sing loud, so everyone could hear him, as he walked through the crowd... Then at the end he looked very emotional, bordering on crying... Was a great performance, and a real highlight for me.
