Billy Nicholls, who played for Hawthorn and Richmond, was at his home in Corio when the shooting happened.
Police called to the Springfield Court property at 4pm found a man suffering a gunshot wound to the lower leg.

Billy has been charged with the shooting at his home last year and one in North Shore in January.He's currently holidaying in a lock up.

I think we need to hold fire on judging Billy too harshly.

It might be a bit of longshot, but this could story could really trigger a down spot in his trajectory. He's looking down the barrel of some time extended time in the clink.

I hope he can aim to get himself back on track, and target a life without such trouble.
