Ok...
Going to keep this simple.
You misjudge the premiership clock and it's a disaster. Lions are 0-4 and many suggest that they are as bad as Melbourne during their dark days when big things were expected of the Lions this year compared to previous years. Lose to the Gold Coast this week and his position comes under threat. Will he see out the year? Can he coach? Welcome to the Leppitsch coaching thread.

The current lions team is playing some of the worst football I've ever seen. It doesn't help with no tall forwards fit, but the complete uncompetitive form of our midfield which should be a strength makes Leppa look real bad. Nothing seems to be working and Leppa has taken a team Voss had close to finals to going backwards at a fast rate. I can't see Leppa getting another contract unless there is some extraordinary improvement which I can't see coming

Leppitsch and other staff. They have had a bed run with injuries over the years, one of the worst if not the worst. But who's decision was it to hire him and why?

Who are you replacing him with ? Voss?

Average list, injuries galore, not much you can do there

Carltonesque how he hasn't addressed the tall forwards dilemma. And why didn't he trade Aish last year? Not going anywhere and all. Why keep him against his will? What is this doing for team disunity...

He is The list manager?

They might try and coax Lethal into coaching again. He did turn them from wooden spooner into premier, although he did have a decent list to work with.

Also left them quite low down the ladder :p

Didnt they think they could get Roos?

Only coaching experience post 2006 (retirement) was at Brisbane and Richmond. How did Leppa get a senior gig?

He did some very good work as the backline coach for Richmond (conceded the 3rd fewest points in 2013 before he left). He oversaw much of Alex Rance's development too. He wasn't plucked out of thin air.

Hardwick is well ahead of Leppa in the coaching hot seat right now, especially if the Tigers lose to Geelong, which with their hard draw coming up, is almost curtains for their finals hopes.

Get Paul Roos out of retir...oh wait.

Terry Wallace!

Seriously though, don't think Leppa can coach. I think Brisbane are more talented than what they are putting out there right now.

It's great how these threads are started by people who know SFA about the team and probably football in general.

Pretty sure it's plain for everyone to see Brisbane are playing s**t. Doesn't take an expert. The parallels to Primus are distinctive though. He needs more support and more investment in the footy department.

Anything under 7 wins for the year which is what they got last year and he should go.
7 wins is a pass and a low one at that

Agreed, especially after trading draft picks and Crisp for Beams when they should have traded Aish and or targeted tall targets in the draft...

it's the lack of key forwards that's there second biggest problem behind a poor game plan, third is not learning from the Polec situation and retaining Aish, the constant scrutiny over this issue is kind of awkward for all concerned. ..
