Surely it's achievable?

1. Already has a past knowledge of and childhood interest in the club
2. May be on market due to salary cap pressure and entering FA window
3. Great player in terms of type, age and quality for our squad
4. Would almost definitely want to return to Melbourne if leaving the swans
5. We're coming off a top 4 spot and hopefully by year's end looking at another finals campaign and becoming a hardened, hungry squad++

++If this isn't the case then not having Dan Hannebery will be the least of our problems

That's why there's a good chance he may be traded this year whist there's currency, sold his house if that means anything , maybe he needed the money

Looking through the above link the players out of contract that aren’t free agents that interest me are Rory Sloane, Matt Crouch, Sam Kerridge!, James Aish, Lachie Henderson, Paul Seedsman, Jake Carlisle, Hayden Crozier, Tom Sheridan, Steven Motlop, Aaron Hall, Charlie Dixon, Jesse Lonergan, Dylan Shiel, Stephen Coniglio, Tom Bugg, Adam Treloar, Will Langford, Billy Hartung, Jeremy Howe, Jack Trengove, Matthew Broadbent, Jarman Impey, Tom Clurey, Dane Rampe, Zak Jones, Michael Talia, Mitch Honeychurch and Mitch Wallis.

A few stars there like Shiel, Sloane, Motlop etc, but also a few cheap potential good value gettable pickups above.

A combination of 1 or 2 of these plus a good free agent should be the target

Well can cross off Dane Rampe and Zak Jones from my uncontracted players Wishlist, re-signed for 4 and 2 years with the swans respectively. Could have been good cheap value pickups and hopefully Cam Joyce is talking to the players managers above now getting in their ear otherwise more will re-sign with their clubs.

In my opinion he is exactly the type of player that we should be paying overs for.

If the AFL bring in the trading of future draft picks this year, we should definitely offer two first round picks for him.
