Who is more likely for the sub, Wright or Lyons?

What would be interesting is if someone does pull out and an emergency leap-frogs him again. Although, I doubt he'll be sub again. I reckon based on Phil's rule on back to back subs that it was probably touch and go with Lyons at 56% the previous week.

I agree, but of the 22 positions, lyons as the sub is the easiest to guess.

I presume you're referring to Carlton, if so I don't see how the comparison is relevant. They're a different club with their own unique circumstances, what's best for them quite likely isn't the same as what's best for us. That said I don't envy their current situation.

What I believe is that defending our under-performers can be a positive thing but if the under-performers are frequently the same players then defending them could start to irritate the club's supporters. Sometimes it's better to just admit the truth or avoid saying anything at all.

It just seems like this year at selection we have been able to take a step back from the looming weekend and look at the bigger picture. Very refreshing.

Yep, I can't see us winning, but I don't think it'll be a thrashing. Freo haven't played in front of 50k over here before, so that will hopefully cause some nerves early. However, once that initial pressure drops off, I expect them to win by 4-5 goals.

I think the crowd thing is overrated but we'll see.

Average first game, poor second game with a whopping 9 disposals and after Melbourne Walsh talked him up and said he was also happy with his first 2 games.

Yep wright surely , he was awful last week , his first shot at goal for the season summed him up ...squeezed in a point from 30m and had Jenkins trying to lead to him...was like cheech and chong

I think it is if it's a team that traditionally plays in front of decent crowds away from home, but Freo aren't one those sides.

Me neither. Was talk of him being slightly injured. They could quite conceivably rest him. Anyone have any idea how many goals Pav usual kicks against us. For some reason I've always thought he's rarely really hurt us. I remember truck stitching him up a couple of times so perhaps that sticks in my head rather than Pav's achievements against us.
