List Mgmt. 2024 Trade & List Management Thread

I just want an older big bodied experienced mid for 2 years. So LDU can move from #1 to #2, and Wardlaw from 2 to 3. Just 1-2 years.

Also need a Ben McKay replacement to team up with Logue. Which then also frees up Chom to go back forward and help Larkey.

Two additions but feel like it fixes so much.

We do need one but I'd like to see some better kicking skills from him.

yes, that's up to the development team...something of a problem.

We need to start investing into a lot of those 'logistics' departments so that the onfield stuff can improve.

One advantage we have is that our board is not as divided as some of the other bigger teams.

A Nostra trade would include trading Bailey Scott to Essendon for Elijah Tsatas.
Don't forget he'd throw George in to for steak knives!
London Amsterdam GIF by F*CK, THAT'S DELICIOUS

Out: 1, 2 (CZ), 21, 39
In: 8, 9, 10, 12, 13

Wouldn't it be nice.
Not really. Our age profile is already the youngest in the comp. It’s not young talent that’s the problem. If we somehow scored picks 1 and 2 we either keep them or trade one of them for established talent if the deal is good enough.

Out of either Lobb" if we can get him reasonably cheap" or CCJ as our 2nd tall forward/ ruck who would you prefer? Saying neither is not an answer or another player.?

l would prefer Lobb. He might be a football nomad but has the talent and when he's not injured would be better than CCJ whom we have seen for a few years now and just doesnt seem to improve.

l can't see Chom going back to the forward line on a permanant basis, so looking for an experienced key forward should be who we go after until a younger player can transition to take over.

Lobb ... christ almighty.

We have gone down the unreliable, can't get a regular game, on shitloads of money and questionable effort / footy character path.

It's ludicrous to me that we'd think about doing it again. Surely not.
Totally agree. He's an overpriced, mercenary, potato.

Let the Bullflogs wallow in their misery..

I would prefer we get a tall from the 5000 state league players around the country instead of paying a truckload for a failed 31 year old who can't get a kick.

Make of this what you will but I've been told by a solid source that we have made inquiries with Richmond about Nankervis & Taranto.

Not going to be a popular stance but Taranto is one of my favourite players in the comp. Exceptional stoppage player, elite work rate/tank and provides excellent defensive pressure. Big body, 26 years of age and we can absorb his contract. Also handy forward of the ball.

My biggest issue is what it means RE: midfield time for our best young players. Wardlaw, LDU, Powell, Smillie, Phillips all do their best work as midfielders. Guys like Duursma, Zurhaar, PC and Sheezel are handy rolling through the middle from time to time. I think it only makes sense if we're conceding that a midfield full timer like LDU leaves and someone like Powell is not the answer in the middle. I'd still prefer to see Sheezel play most of his footy as a half forward as he did in his junior days, so that frees up some potential midfield time for someone else.

Anyway it makes a lot of sense - whether it's a good move depends on the price I suppose.
