Dylan Stephens has his exit interview this week.

We might get confirmation of his intentions sooner rather than later.

One Swan that could be on the way out is former top five draft pick Dylan Stephens.

The South Australian is out of contract and Morris says rival clubs feel he will push for a trade with North Melbourne among those interested.

“It’s decision time for Dylan Stephens who was pick five in the 2019 draft,” Morris said.

“He's played 40 odd games. The Swans have had a deal in front of him for a number of weeks.

“Now he'll have his exit meeting this week, North Melbourne is interested.

“There is a feeling around club-land that he's going to look to go elsewhere, but he hasn't confirmed that yet.

“The Swans don't know what he's going to do yet.”

Will the port pick get this done?

Pick 39 would be nice, F2 at most.

May as well just trade them TT or LDU.

No way in the world is Stephens worth a F2 with his 40 game output. Especially being OOC and our PSD position.

Talk of the Port pick also absolute madness unless we are getting future picks back.

He’s worth a late pick (50+). Nothing more.

I’d be wanting Florent or McInerney for the discussed outlay in here, not Stephens.

If the Port pick is #14, that’s probably the value of someone like Nick Blakey in the trade market.

Zac Fisher is honestly worth more than Stephens.

If we get the same PPs as last year, we’ll have to trade an F2 for someone. Carlton sound like they’re happy to just get Fisher’s salary off their books for bugger all.

* morris is a s**t journalist.

‘There is a feel amongst club land, from the whispers sifting through the willlow trees, that Stephens is on the out, he may be of interest to North Melbourne, who if I’m lead to believe will not get Riley Sanders.’
While your statement is definitely correct you can almost feel the narrative shifting with regard to Sanders. I don’t think we get him even for points now. Too much push back going on now

Anything inside 35-40 for Stephens and we’ve been bent over again.

Port 1st rounder? Start of round F2?… good lord.
39 is the best pick for Stephens in terms of fair value imo, but if we get an F2 and an F3 as draft assistance again, how do you propose we use them?

Now that Henry has signalled his intention to go to the Saints, and given Mac Andrew afaik has never been on the trade table, there isn’t a single player left in the sticky post worth f2.

He’s Caro’s disciple

Noticed that * delisted Munkara very quietly last week. I guess the knocks on his professionalism/maturity were spot on.

Lot of indigenous guys leave Essendon very quietly

Trade the F2 as part of a package for GCs pick or one of WBs picks.

Or maybe there's a big move happening that we don't know about. At this time last year everyone was dismissing any JHF trade talk.

If we can't get out a contracted player for an assistance F2 then it might be worthwhile rolling it together with some picks in this draft, if we need points for Sanders. The Swans have a couple of picks in the 40-50's they may not use, puts Stephens around 45 value but they'll get a nice early 2nd rounder in 2024. Not sure how they see the shape of their list but if McKay goes there for free it may appeal as they'll still have their first three to draft with.
