Hmm, if per the west article you’ve damaged a power pole that’s obstructing traffic (ie on the road) one would think it’s common sense to realise that’s a hazard to other people and should be reported. There may have been an electrocution risk in addition to a road hazard.

If true, plenty of Roos on Indian Ocean drive. Not sure why police would be “investigating though” if it was just a light crash after hitting a roo? One would suspect theres more to it.

Both are too old imo. Don’t want us spending what little draft currency we have unless it’s on an U25.
I don’t think graham is good enough to warrant using salary cap.
English, cumming and perryman are as long as the contract price isn’t silly.

I think this option only stacks up for us if we get a pick bump, of any kind coming our way due it being a bowes style salary dump. He's too old to really be much use for us and we should in general be using our salary space to get younger FA's or attract other juniors.
If we take another highly rated mid with our first pick, and use our second on buss, that will be it for our draft. Need to find a way to improve our draft hand because we really need to start bringing in some rebounding defenders/wing types.

Very possibly, I saw Hough at a café recently with what I believe was his manager explaining to him how the indexed salaries work vs those not auto indexed. There were some moments where Hough looked a little sheepish/was congratulated and call it a vibe but it seemed like he had received a...
They didn’t last year, so they probably won’t this year.
Is anyone else felling like me, and looking at Reid and how good he is and wanting to hit the draft even harder knowing premierships are on their way if we only but put a bit of support around him.

We on the other hand would probably need to find buyers and push out barrass, yeo and gov to achieve a hand like that.

I think people are just looking for some value given our situation.
Our draft hand for 2024 isn't looking crash hot outside of our first pick and we don't have many options for selling seniors etc to improve that. We also haven't taken many high picks in recent drafts either compared to other...
We got to try and improve our draft hand somehow. A pick in that range shouldn't be sneezed at, especially at his age. If the players willing I would be disappointed if we didn't accept that in our current situation.
If dogs were willing to stump up a second rounder or better that could be a great move for us. Macrae wouldn't be horrible for us on a wing (better than Gaff) and could shelter some of the kids a bit.
More importantly, anything we can do to improve our draft hand is an absolute must.
Not sure what moving our F1 forward will really achieve, just as last year it likely represents a future number 1 pick. We need to find a way to improve our draft hand without sacrificing the future. Some sort of pick purchasing style deal would be ideal for us along with hopefully receiving an...
100% this, we need to be aiming for at least 4 top 30 picks a year. We really need to find an older player to trade out, but I really don’t see many options there. Flynn might be a good one as part of a ruck merry go round if we got English in FA.

Yeah at this stage of the rebuild we really need some talls, and if there’s no clear standout we may be forced to split. We’ve basically got two drafts to finish the core of the rebuild before tassie starts impacting the drafts.

People are disappointed as all they want to see is a positive glimpse of the future, but it just didn’t look good today/so far this year. A bunch of players we were hoping to get excited about this year who showed serious promise or are highly rated by the club did not fair well.
Ginbey - ready...
The u25 talent there compared to ours now…
I don’t think we have anyone bar Reid who could compare to the likes of Nic nat and shuey (19), Kennedy (22) Mackenzie, brown, Schofield… - hell even lecras as a 23yo.
This is going to be our worst rebuild by far. We need to go tooth and nail for...
GC can effectively create picks out of thin air with their academy. They had the best draft haul this year while finishing fourth last, and banked an additional 2 first rounders and a second rounder for next year.
They would be able to sell 2 first rounders next year and still bring in the same...
Yeo Barrass Cole
Duggan Gov Hunt
Hough Ginbey Petch
Reid Darling Cripps
Ryan Allen Long
Flynn, Kelly, Hewett
B Williams, Maric, Sheed, Jones
Next up: Brockman, Chesser, Bazzo, Rotham
Not happy with Archer, but wanted us to go tall with our later picks?
If you were happy with Hall, that only really leaves the Johnston pick, unless you wanted us to take 5 in the draft?
Who would you have taken - ZZ, Schoenmaker? I was wanting ZZ at 49 myself.
It is a bit unbalanced but you've got Maric Twice? Maybe you meant Waterman/Culley?
I don't think it's as bad as it looks on the surface. There's every chance J Williams and Jamieson don't make the grade and get delisted next year.
B Williams might not make as a fwd and could go back to...
This is my take on our U25 Team after the National Draft:
A few things stand out:
We have almost no rebounding defenders who can kick - forcing me to put players out of their ideal positions.
We are still light on for high quality KPD prospects, Bazzo is decent, but unlikely to be a true KPD...
